The clash between McIntyre and Priest was pure chaos from bell to bell, as the two heavy-hitters traded brutal blows and left destruction in their wake.
In the end, it was a devastating Claymore Kick into a chair-ridden turnbuckle that sealed the win for The Scottish Warrior.
The seeds were planted for McIntyre vs. Priest just over one year ago at WrestleMania 40 when Priest turned one of McIntyre's greatest triumphs into a nightmare.
In the opening match for Night 2 of WrestleMania 40, McIntyre defeated Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship, marking the first time he won a WWE world title in front of fans.
However, the Scot let his issues with CM Punk overcome him, and he attempted to taunt him at the announce table. The Best in the World responded by attacking McIntyre despite being on the shelf with a torn triceps.
That led to Priest running down the ramp with his Money in the Bank briefcase in tow, cashing in the contract and beating McIntyre for the World Heavyweight Championship.
The Scot's world title reign lasted just over five minutes, and he has not held the World Heavyweight Championship since.
While McIntyre's attention was largely focused on Punk for the next several months, he and Priest crossed paths again in the men's Royal Rumble match on February 1.
Priest eliminated McIntyre, denying him an opportunity to compete in a world title match on The Grandest Stage of Them All.
If that wasn't enough, Priest also eliminated McIntyre from the men's Elimination Chamber match the following month, again preventing The Scottish Warrior from going after a world championship at WrestleMania.
After his elimination in the Chamber match, McIntyre hit Priest with a Claymore, which led to his elimination as well.
That set off an all-out war between McIntyre and Priest for the next several weeks, including The Punishment slamming his rival on top of a car.
Everything came to a head at WrestleMania, and McIntyre finally got the better of Priest after coming out on the wrong end several times previously.
