WWE WrestleMania 41 Predictions for Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena and Top Matches
The top Superstars will compete in the most anticipated matches of the year Saturday and Sunday in Las Vegas when WWE presents WrestleMania 41 from Allegiant Stadium.
The extravaganza is headlined by John Cena challenging Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship, with a shot at etching his name in the history books as the most decorated main event attraction in pro wrestling.
Can Cena win No. 17 or will Rhodes proved too resilient, leaving the Showcase of the Immortals for the second year in a row with the top prize in the industry?
Find out the answer to that and more with these predictions for the top matches on this year's card.
Women's World Championship Match: Rhea Ripley vs. Iyo Sky vs. Bianca Belair
1 of 4
Iyo Sky cashed her ticket to WrestleMania by defeating Rhea Ripley for the Women's World Championship. Bianca Belair earned her way to the grand stage by winning the Elimination Chamber. Ripley demanded a rematch after becoming distracted by the latter in said match with Sky.
Regardless of how they got there or how convoluted it may have been, the Triple Threat Match for top prize in the Raw women's division figures to be one of the best matches of the weekend barring any overbooked chicanery.
Three of the best womens' wrestlers on the planet, all NXT exports who kept the legacy of that division strong before arriving on the main roster, they have the opportunity to steal the show out from under every other match on Sunday's card, potentially setting the bar impossibly high.
Keep an eye on Belair, though, who has teased a heel turn of late but more importantly for the sake of this event, is undefeated at WrestleMania and seeing to leave The Showcase of the Immortals with gold for the fourth time.
And she will, kicking off what could be a banner 2025 for The EST.
Prediction: Belair wins the title
CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns
2 of 4
Seth Rollins sacrificed himself a year ago to distract Roman Reigns, setting up Cody Rhodes to finish his story, defeat The Tribal Chief, and win the Undisputed WWE Championship.
In the 12 months since, he has been embroiled in a heated rivalry with CM Punk while keeping his disdain for Reigns front and center. Saturday night in Vegas, The Visionary battles his two nemesis in the top-billed match and vows to do what is "best for business."
It is not the first time that fans have heard that phrase uttered on WWE television in the build to this year's WrestleMania. Before Elimination Chamber, John Cena used the same verbiage and proceeded to sell his soul to The Rock, betraying his fans in the process. More on him in a moment.
Rollins has been so desperate to rescue the future of WWE from the hands of Punk that it not be far-fetched for him to betray all that he stands for an align himself with the same Final Boss he fought in the main event of last year's show
Nor would it be totally shocking if Paul Heyman hitched his cart to Rollins, betraying Reigns and Punk, as part of a bigger storyline at play.
Rollins wins Saturday night, thanks to the favor he insinuated Heyman owed him for sparing him a stomp, but it will not be the last time you see those two at this year's show.
Prediction: Rollins wins
World Heavyweight Championship Match: Jey Uso vs. Gunther
3 of 4
There is not a universe that exists in which Jey Uso should not defeat Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship.
The story that has been told demands it.
Gunther has mocked Uso, downplayed his Royal Rumble victory, called him a mascot, and brutally attacked his brother. Oh, and he possesses three straight victories over him in head-to-head match-ups.
He has done everything he could do to make life miserable for the 2025 Royal Rumble winner and now, it is time for Uso to get what's his: the world title that has eluded him for over a year.
If the babyface does not win in Las Vegas Saturday night, he is finished as a legitimate main event player.
This is Uso's match to win, delivering one of the most unforgettable moments and celebrations of the entire two-match show. A new champion will be crowned.
Prediction: Uso wins the title
Undisputed WWE Championship Match: John Cena vs. Cody Rhodes
4 of 4
Cena stunned the wrestling world when he betrayed his fans and Cody Rhodes at the Elimination Chamber premium live event. After two decades as WWE's resident superhero, he sold his soul to The Rock with the intent to win a record-breaking 17th world championship.
Now on the doorstep of eclipsing Ric Flair as the most decorated world champion in WWE history, he enters Las Vegas ready to prove his recent tirades against the fans correct; to take the WWE Championship and depart the company at the end of his Farewell Tour.
All he has to do is defeat one of the grittiest fighters in the company in Rhodes, who has taken his lumps before but always managed to battle back. We saw it throughout 2023 as he rebuilt after a devastating loss to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39, earned his way back to that spot, and defeated The Tribal Chief at last year's event.
The American Nightmare has been defiant in his words to Cena and repeatedly mentioned that the bell will have to ring and they will eventually have to wrestle, knocking his opponent's abilities between the ropes.
Unfortunately for Rhodes, it will likely not come down to who the better wrestler is.
If Rollins and Heyman do, in fact, leave the main event of Saturday together, do not be surprised if they pop up in Sunday's main event and assist Cena with the victory as part of the overarching storyline involving The Rock.
Cena did what was "best for business" and assuming Rollins does too, WWE could very well have a new Corporation of sorts on their hands, a supergroup at the top of the card around which everything is built.
Fantasy booking? Possibly, but either way, Cena leaves Vegas with the title via nefarious means and puts Rhodes back in the chase position.
Prediction: Cena wins No. 17
