Tetairoa McMillan to Reportedly Visit Cowboys, Patriots, More Ahead of 2025 NFL Draft

Andrew PetersApr 13, 2025

One of the top wide receivers in this year's draft class will reportedly meet with a handful of teams soon.

Per KPRC 2's Aaron Wilson, Arizona star Tetairoa McMillan is set to meet with the Dallas Cowboys, New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers before the NFL Draft later this month.

Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department considers McMillan the No. 8 overall player in this year's draft class and the top-ranked receiver. In the latest mock draft, Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department projects him to land with the Panthers at No. 8.

McMillan, the highest-rated recruit in Arizona football history, had an outstanding three-year career with the Wildcats. After a strong freshman year, he racked up 1,402 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns in 2023 before collecting 1,319 yards and eight touchdowns last year.

He led the Big 12 in receiving yards and had the third-most in the country in 2024.

Each team that McMillan will visit has a clear need for a wide receiver. The Cowboys and Saints both have clear WR1s in CeeDee Lamb and Chris Olave, respectively, but don't have much depth beyond their stars.

McMillan might not go as early as No. 4 to New England, but it's hard to imagine he'll make it out of the top 10. Where exactly he'll land could become more clear as he goes through meetings with teams over the next few weeks.

The Patriots added a star in Stefon Diggs this offseason, but it's unclear whether he'll be the same 1,000-plus yard receiver he was before his torn ACL. The Panthers have a few solid receiver options but lack a true star. McMillan could fill that role for Carolina.
