Deion Sanders Makes Cryptic Post About Saints' No. 9 Draft Pick amid Shedeur Rumors
Colorado head coach Deion Sanders shared a cryptic message on social media regarding the New Orleans Saints and the team's No. 9 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft.
ESPN's Adam Schefter previously listed New Orleans as "wild card" landing spot for former Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders.

Deion's post comes after NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Friday that Saints signal-caller Derek Carr is dealing with a shoulder injury that puts his availability for the 2025 season "in doubt."
Rapoport noted that surgery is also an option for Carr.
The 34-year-old was hampered byย handย andย obliqueย injuries during his 2024 campaign, suiting up in just 10 contests. Carr completed 67.7 percent of his throws for 2,145 yards and 15 touchdowns while getting picked off five times.
While the veteran has two years left on hisย current contract, the uncertain outlook regarding his injury recovery and murky long-term future in New Orleans could entice the front office to target a quarterback such as Shedeur Sanders at No. 9.
The Saints' current options to potentially replace Carr in 2025 aren't promising either. Spencer Rattler, Jake Haener and Ben DiNucci own a combined record of 0-8 as a starter.
As for the younger Sanders, he's coming off an impressive 2024 campaign with Colorado. He threw for 4,134 yards and 37 touchdowns compared to 10 interceptions to go along with a 74.0 completion percentage in 13 games.
In the latestย mock draftย from Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department, New Orleans was projected to select Sanders with the No. 9 pick.
With Carr's injury and new head coach Kellen Moore entering his first year with the team, Deion Sanders is on the lookout for the Saints' choice when they'll be on the clock in the first round of the 2025 draft.
