WWE's Trick Williams to Have Guest Star Appearance in 'All American' Season 7 Finale

WWE NXT star Trick Williams will have a guest starring role in the Season 7 finale of the hit CW series All American.

Williams spoke to Variety's Joe Otterson about the opportunity, noting that he was an extra during a previous season of All American:

"I am super excited to be a part of this new season of All American. They treated me like royalty, put me in my own trailer, and made sure I looked top tier. I really appreciated that because four years ago, I was working as an extra–as a kicker–for South Crenshaw. To come back as the AD for Crenshaw is super surreal and a true full-circle moment for me. They have a great cast and crew, incredible directors, and a strong team. It was an honor to be a part of the show."

Williams will play the role of South Crenshaw High School athletic director Eddie Blair in the upcoming episode, which figures to air in the coming weeks, although no official air date has been released.

All American is a hugely popular high school football drama that is based loosely on the life of former NFL linebacker Spencer Paysinger, who played for the New York Giants, Miami Dolphins and Carolina Panthers during his seven-year NFL career.

Williams is a former football star in his own right, as he played wide receiver for the University of South Carolina.

After spending some time in the Philadelphia Eagles' rookie minicamp in 2018, Williams transitioned to the world of wrestling, and he has thrived as the face of NXT.

Williams is a two-time NXT champion and one-time NXT North American champion, and he will challenge for the NXT title again during WrestleMania 41 weekend in Las Vegas at NXT Stand & Deliver on April 19.

If Williams can outlast Oba Femi and Je'Von Evans, he will become only the second three-time NXT champion in WWE history.

Williams' appearance on All American will further the relationship between WWE and The CW, as NXT began airing weekly on the network back in October.
