WWE WrestleMania 41's Top Rumors and Early Predictions for Latest Match Card

WWE takes over Las Vegas for WrestleMania 41 on April 19 and 20 and the rumor mill is still churning out updates regarding the top stars, matches, and card size of the event.

Can fans expect to see The Rock in Sin City? How many matches will make up this year's card?

The updated card for WrestleMania 41 from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 19 and 20 includes:

* Undisputed WWE Universal Championship Match: Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena (Prediction: Cena)

* Triple Threat Match: CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns (Prediction: Rollins)

* World Heavyweight Championship Match: Jey Uso vs. Gunther (Prediction: Uso)

* Women's World Championship Triple Threat Match: Bianca Belair vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Iyo Sky (Prediction: Belair)

* WWE Women's Championship Match: Tiffany Stratton vs. Charlotte Flair (Prediction: Flair)

* Intercontinental Championship Fatal 4-Way Match: Bron Breakker vs. Penta vs. Finn Bálor vs. Dominik Mysterio (Prediction: Breakker)

* Women's Tag Team Championship Match: Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez vs. Team TBD (Prediction: Morgan and Rodriguez)

* United States Championship Match: LA Knight vs. Jacob Fatu (Prediction: Fatu)

Where Is The Rock?

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio reported that there are still no updates on plans for The Rock at WrestleMania 41.

That would seem to suggest one of two things: either The Rock's schedule will not allow him to participate in this year's event or, as has been the case since his return to WWE programming last year, those plans are being held very close to the vest.

If it is option one, it was likely known well in advance and that Rock was used as the emphasis for the Cena heel turn back at Elimination Chamber. That may not be the most ideal or satisfying option but there are far worse ways to maximize the impact of the biggest babyface of the last 20 years betraying fans than by selling his soul to The Final Boss in return for a championship opportunity.

A similar scenario worked for Andre the Giant back in 1987 on the road to WrestleMania 3.

If the plans are being tightly held, expect to see Rock interject himself in the main event between Cena and Rhodes, where he can influence The American Nightmare losing the Undisputed WWE Championship, a prize he explicitly stated he wants.

Update on Expected Match Card Size

WrestleVotes reported on the Backstage Q&A with Bill Apter that the WrestleMania 41 card is expected to be 14 or 15 matches.

That would be in line with last year's show, with featured 14 matches, seven across both nights.

The company has already announced 11 contests and is yet to add Damian Priest vs. Drew McIntyre. Add to that Randy Orton vs. whoever replaces Kevin Owens, and a likely tag team title match from either Raw or SmackDown, and you have the card.

That gets as many Superstars as possible on the card while filling out two nights of action and keeping fans attending one or the other happy.

Considering the magnitude of the event, that is the best possible scenario.
