Dan Hurley 'Greatly' Regrets Blasting Refs in Viral Video After UConn Loss to Florida
UConn head coach Dan Hurley was heard yelling, "I hope they don't f--k you like they f--ked us" to the Baylor Bears after the Huskies lost to Florida in the second round of the men's NCAA tournament, clearly frustrated with the officiating.
On Monday, he expressed remorse for those comments while appearing on The Dan Patrick Show.
"I think my relationships with officials... the Florida postgame, I regret that one greatly," he said (9:35 mark). "There was one drive to the rim that I felt we clearly got fouled on, that would have kept that game at a two-possession game. It was ringing in my mind. It wasn't like multiple calls that I felt were missed. It was just this one play that I could not get out of my mind as I was heading through that tunnel and I saw the Baylor players. I deeply regret that. ... I didn't believe that. That was deeply embarrassing."

Hurley's fiery, outspoken demeanor has put him in the proverbial crosshairs in the past, including a number of outbursts at referees, which included being caught telling a referee not to turn his back on him because "I'm the best coach in the f--king sport."
Hurley's antics have been accompanied by a pair of national championships in his tenure, but there's no doubt he would like to have some of those moments back, as he acknowledged Monday.
