Shedeur Sanders Reacts to Giants Signing Russell Wilson, Jameis amid NFL Draft Rumors
Shedeur Sanders gave his thoughts on the New York Giants' free-agent additions of Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston ahead of the 2025 NFL draft.
"Whatever they want to do, I think it was a good move for them regardless," Sanders said on 2Legendary with Shedeur Sanders (1:10 mark).
When asked about potentially being teammates with Winston, the Colorado quarterback was open to the possibility.
"Jameis is cool," Sanders said (2:20 mark). "That's what I'm saying. Whatever QB room, whatever. I just hope it ain't everybody in there just too serious, serious. You know what I mean? Just have a good vibe. You know, friendly competition, it is what it is."
Winston signed a two-year, $8 million contract with New York on March 21.
Four days later, Wilson and the Giants reached an agreement on a one-year deal worth $10.5 million.
The quarterback position isn't an immediate need for New York anymore, but the team could still target Sanders with the No. 3 overall pick in the draft. Winston and Wilson are on short-term contracts and they're both over 31 years old.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported Sunday that the Giants could still target Sanders.
New York reportedly sent 14 staffers to Colorado's Pro Day to watch the signal-caller as well as two-way standout Travis Hunter.
The Giants were projected to select Hunter with the No. 3 pick in the latest mock draft from Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department.
While New York added multiple veteran passers in free agency, Hunter still appears to be open to potentially becoming a member of the Giants.
