Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter Pro Day Attended by 14 Giants Staffers, 11 from Browns

New York Giants and Cleveland Browns front office and coaching personnel arrived at Colorado en masse for the Buffaloes' Pro Day, which featured quarterback Shedeur Sanders and wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Cleveland is scheduled to pick second overall in the upcoming NFL draft, while the Giants will select third.

It's no surprise that either team sent a massive contingent to Colorado.

Chances are the Tennessee Titans are selecting Miami quarterback Cam Ward with the No. 1 overall pick based on recent reports, including the latest from NFL Network's Cam Wolfe, who called him "the leader in the clubhouse" to be chosen.

That leaves Cleveland in an interesting position. Realistically, the Browns can either (a) take one of the draft's blue chip prospects in Hunter or Penn State edge-rusher Abdul Carter or (b) select Sanders, who's largely considered the QB2 in this year's draft.

The latest B/R NFL Scouting Department big board has Hunter as the No. 1 overall prospect, with Carter close behind at No. 2. It's conceivable the Browns could take one of them early and select a quarterback later on, or, they could just roll with Sanders and anoint him as the team's franchise signal-caller.

Then there are the New York Giants, who are in a similar boat as the Browns but are somewhat at the mercy of them in this draft given their positioning one spot behind them. Like Cleveland, Big Blue also needs a long-term QB solution.

If the Browns take Hunter or Carter, the Giants could take the remaining blue-chip prospect and look to add a quarterback on Day 2 (or perhaps trade up into Day 1 from its second-round pick). Or, they could just choose Sanders and basically give him a redshirt year while veterans Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston are in town in 2025.

If the Browns select Sanders, the choice would seemingly be easy, in that New York could just take its preferred prospect from Hunter or Carter and go QB later.

Ultimately, both the Browns and Giants need to do their homework on the matter, hence the flights to Boulder to take closer looks at Sanders and Hunter. It's a big draft for both teams, so no stone can remain unturned as the franchises look to turn around their fortunes.
