Kevin Durant Reportedly Drew Trade Interest from Knicks, Warriors, More at Deadline
Kevin Durant's future will be a significant storyline during the upcoming NBA offseason, and a number of suitors could trade for him if the reported interest ahead of February's trade deadline was any indication.
During a Wednesday appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, ESPN's Shams Charania suggested the Phoenix Suns star could be traded this offseason after teams such as the Golden State Warriors, New York Knicks, Minnesota Timberwolves, Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets all showed interest in him.

Golden State was the one that generated the most headlines leading up to the deadline given Durant's previous time with the team that led to two championships and three straight NBA Finals appearances.
However, the future Hall of Famer made it known he didn't want to be traded to the Warriors this season. Golden State responded by trading for Jimmy Butler and has since been playing excellent basketball as it climbs up the Western Conference standings.
The opposite can be said for the Suns, who are among the most disappointing teams in the league at 35-41. They are 1.5 games behind the Sacramento Kings in the race for the final Western Conference play-in tournament spot despite having plenty of star power in Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal.
Given the disappointing record, Durant's age (36) and a contract that expires after the 2025-26 season, resetting by trading the 15-time All-Star during the upcoming offseason would make plenty of sense.
The Rockets and Spurs jump out as teams with a young core that may be a veteran star away from being true contenders, while the Timberwolves might mean pairing Durant with Anthony Edwards. The Knicks would also offer him the opportunity to play in a major market and pursue a title alongside Jalen Brunson.
Durant is one of the best players in NBA history, and there will surely be plenty of interest in him once again this offseason after so many reportedly explored trade scenarios in February.
