NIT 2025 Semifinals Scores, Updated Bracket and Men's Championship Schedule

The NIT Championship game is set after a pair of exciting semifinal matchups on Tuesday.

Top-seeded UC Irvine took down North Texas 69-67 in the first game of the night before Chattanooga downed Loyola Chicago to move on to the championship. The Anteaters and Mocs will now meet in the championship game on Thursday at 9 p.m. ET.

No. 1 UC Irvine 69, No. 2 North Texas 67

Though UC Irvine missed out on the NCAA tournament after losing to UC San Diego in the Big West championship, the Anteaters have had a tremendous season and are now on their way to the NIT Championship.

It was a group effort for UC Irvine on Tuesday as it had four of its five starters in double figures. Devin Tillis led the way with 16, along with 11 boards. Bent Leuchten added 14, Justin Hohn had 12 and Myles Che posted 11.

North Texas star Atin Wright did his best to keep the Mean Green's season alive, but his 25 points weren't enough to come away with the win.

With Tuesday's win, UC Irvine improved to 32-6, setting a program record for wins in a single season. The Anteaters will look to cap off their magical season with a win against Chattanooga on Thursday. A victory would give UC Irvine its first NIT championship in program history.

Chattanooga 80, Loyola Chicago 73

After an exciting first game between UC Irvine and North Texas, Chattanooga and Loyola Chicago gave fans another thriller.

The Mocs controlled the game for much of the second half, but the Ramblers made it a one-point game with less than a minute to play. Chattanooga's Honor Huff then delivered a clutch three with just over 30 seconds to play to make things tougher on Loyola.

That three from Huff proved to be the dagger as the Mocs managed to ice the game at the free throw line.

Senior guard Trey Bonham led the way for Chattanooga, posting 23 points in the win. Huff and Bash Wieland added 12 each and Makai Richards posted 10 off the bench.

Just like UC Irvine, Chattanooga is having a historic season as they're just one win away from setting the program record for wins in a season. The Mocs can make their season even better with an NIT championship.
