Shedeur Sanders, Abdul Carter to Browns in Lance Zierlein's 2025 NFL Mock Draft
The Cleveland Browns are projected to land both Shedeur Sanders and Abdul Carter in the latest mock draft from NFL.com's Lance Zierlein.
The Browns are currently heading into the 2025 NFL Draft with 10 picks, including the No. 2 and No. 33 selections.
Zierlein predicts that Cam Ward will go to the Tennessee Titans with the No. 1 pick, after which point the Browns will target Carter rather than any of the quarterbacks remaining in the draft.

"Andrew Berry is an analytics-driven GM and seems to me much more likely to see Carter or Travis Hunter as the pick here than one of the quarterbacks beyond Ward," Zierlein wrote about the No. 2 pick.
The Browns are heading into the spring in need of a quarterback after adding only former Philadelphia Eagles backup Kenny Pickett this offseason.
However, Adam Schefter recently reported on ESPN's Get Up that the Browns "have visions of matching Abdul Carter with Myles Garrett."
Schefter continued: "I think that they recognize that Abdul Carter is an elite talent, and Travis Hunter is an elite talent... Do they have a high enough grade on Shedeur Sanders that they could justify taking Sanders ahead of one of these higher rated players? And right now, it doesn't feel like Cleveland's moving in that direction."
Schefter also reported that Browns ownership traveled to Pennsylvania to meet with Carter ahead of Penn State's pro day.
Carter hasn't worked out during the NFL scouting combine or his pro day amid shoulder and foot injuries, but his agent said he may work out for some teams this month.
Zierlein then projects Sanders will still be on the board by pick No. 24. The selection is currently held by the Minnesota Vikings, but Zierlein predicts the Browns will trade up to grab Sanders and ensure they get his fifth-year contract option by making him a first-round pick.
Sanders has previously been projected as a potential top-three picks, but now that the Browns are potentially targeting a non-quarterback at No. 2 and the Giants having already acquired Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston this offseason, there is potential he could slip further down the draft.
The NFL draft is set to begin on Thursday, April 24 in Green Bay.
