Cody Rhodes, Bianca Belair Among WWE Superstars Announced Clash of Clans Video Game
WWE and Supercell announced Monday that several WWE Superstars will be included as playable characters in the popular mobile game Clash of Clans starting Tuesday.
The eight WWE Superstars and legends who will be available in the game are as follows:
-Cody Rhodes as Barbarian King
-Bianca Belair as Royal Champion
-Rhea Ripley as Archer Queen
-The Undertaker as Grand Warden
-Kane as P.E.K.K.A.
-Rey Mysterio as Minion Prince
-Becky Lynch as Valkyrie
-Jey Uso as Thrower
In addition to playable WWE characters, Clash of Clans will also feature several other WWE-themed items throughout the month of April.
They include special "environments, gameplay events, cosmetics and Easter Eggs paying homage to WWE's rich legacy."
Cody Rhodes, who is the undisputed WWE champion, is a longtime fan and player of Clash of Clans. In fact, he has played Clash of Clans for nearly 10 years and is among the top 10 percent of players in the world.
Cody, who uses the handle OverlordRhodes in the game, said the following about his involvement with the WWE-Clash of Clans partnership:
"I've spent years building my legacy in WWE, but it's time for fans to know where I've landed most of my victories, in Clash of Clans. As OverlordRhodes, I don't defend, I conquer. Villages will fall, and any opposition will be crushed under my command. This isn't about playing fair in the ring, it's about ruling the battlefield. Just like at WrestleMania 41, I'm stepping in with one goal—absolute victory. I've waited a long time for this moment, and now that I've arrived, there's no stopping me."
Rhodes is preparing for one of the biggest matches of his career when he defends the WWE Championship against the newly villainous John Cena in the likely main event of Night 2 of WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas later this month.
If The American Nightmare does close the show, it will mark the third consecutive year he has done so, as he faced Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 39 and WrestleMania 40.
Like Rhodes, Clash of Clans will have a major presence on the Grandest Stage of Them All with an enhanced match sponsorship at WrestleMania 41.
