McIntyre Talks Relationship, Future Plans with The Rock

Drew McIntyre opened up about his relationship with The Rock this week and teased the potential of working with him in the future.

In an interview with Steven Wilson of the Daily Star, McIntyre was asked about having a conversation with The Rock at Elimination Chamber. While he didn't expand on what the discussion entailed, McIntyre did talk about his connection with The Final Boss, saying:

"I absolutely cannot tell you any information on that, but what I can tell you is one of the narratives I see online is that people don't pay close attention to the stories. Why is Drew always talking about The Rock? I thought he hated the Bloodline? No, I hate people that wronged me personally. If somebody wronged me, I have an issue with them, just like anybody in real life.

"The Rock has actively looked out for me my whole career since I was a kid. Himself and his business partner ex-wife Danny have always said such positive things to me. He put me over in a TMZ interview when I wasn't doing anything in particular that justified him saying I was going to be the next big star when I re-signed with the company."

The Scottish Warrior went on to allude to his meeting with The Rock at Elimination Chamber, saying there are "some things on the horizon," and that fans would learn what they are "when it's time."

At Elimination Chamber, The Rock was on hand to get Cody Rhodes' answer regarding whether he was willing to sell his soul, but after Rhodes refused, Cena turned heel and aligned with The Rock.

The Rock's primary focus leading up to WrestleMania 41 figures to be the WWE Championship match between Cena and Rhodes, while McIntyre is trending toward a grudge match against Damian Priest.

Given The Rock's relationship with McIntyre, it is fair to wonder if Drew may play some type of role in Cena vs. Rhodes as well, which could then lead to an official alliance with The Rock.

Regardless of what the long-term plan is, any type of on-screen relationship with The Rock would be huge for McIntyre in terms of getting him back to the top of the company and in world title contention.

Uso Wants Cardi B, Sexyy Red for WrestleMania Entrance

Jey Uso has had some star-studded entrances over the past year, and he has his sights set on another at WrestleMania 41.

During an appearance Tuesday on Raw Recap, Jey said he wanted a woman rapper to play him to the ring at WrestleMania, and he named Cardi B and Sexyy Red as possibilities:

Jey also gave a shoutout to Kendrick Lamar as an option should Cardi or Sexyy Red not be in the cards.

Cardi has stated publicly on multiple occasions that she was a wrestling fan when she was younger, naming Booker T, Batista, Eddie Guerrero, Triple H, Edge and Lita as some of her all-time favorites.

Meanwhile, Sexyy Red has made multiple appearances in WWE, including hosting NXT Battleground last year.

Sexyy Red was quick to take Jey up on his WrestleMania offer, posting Tuesday on X that she is "there" in reference to the Showcase of the Immortals:

Jey is no stranger to making rap stars part of his entrances, as Lil Wayne went to the ring with him last year at WrestleMania 40.

Also, Jey was joined by Travis Scott on his way to the ring on the debut episode of Raw on Netflix in January.

At WrestleMania 41, Jey is set to have the biggest match of his career, as he will challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Jey earned his title shot by winning the men's Royal Rumble match, and now he has a chance to win the first singles world title of his career.

If that happens, it will be a memorable moment, and Jey having his own special entrance could make it even more significant.

WWE Reportedly Interested in Free Agent Hammerstone

WWE is reportedly keeping tabs on Alex Hammerstone after he recently became a free agent.

Speaking Tuesday on SportsKeeda WrestleBinge (h/t Subhojeet Mukherjee of Ringside News), WrestleVotes said WWE has interest in Hammerstone, although they aren't sure whether the interest is mutual:

Hammerstone most recently wrestled for TNA, but he announced this month that he had his final match for the promotion during the February tapings and was officially a free agent.

Before joining TNA last year, the 34-year-old veteran had his greatest success in MLW, holding the MLW World Heavyweight Championship and National Openweight Championship one time each.

While Hammerstone did not win any titles during his TNA stint, he had several memorable matches and rivalries against the likes of Josh Alexander and Joe Hendry.

Given TNA's working relationship with WWE, Hammerstone also made a couple of appearances in NXT back in September, losing a match to Oba Femi and beating Tony D'Angelo.

The fact that Hammerstone has a bit of experience in NXT could potentially be a point in WWE's favor when it comes to signing Hammerstone, but he figures to have interest from other companies as well, including AEW.
