Matthew Stafford Hypes Davante Adams After WR Signs Rams Contract in Free Agency
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford was excited about the team's acquisition of Davante Adams in free agency.
“I have a ton of respect for him, the way he goes about his business and the way he plays the game,” Stafford said, via Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times (h/t Myles Simmons of Pro Football Talk). “He’s been a big-time in this league for a long time, so happy to have him. I know he’s going to be a big addition to our team.”
Adams signed a two-year contract worth $46 million with Los Angeles as a free agent following his release from the New York Jets.

2025 Draft Picks Ready For Leap 🐸

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
The six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver spent the 2024 season with the Jets and Las Vegas Raiders, hauling in 85 receptions for 1,063 yards and eight touchdowns in 14 total appearances.
Adams has surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in each of the past five years, averaging 85.3 yards per game over that span.
He should fit easily on a Rams squad that already owned the NFL's No. 10 passing attack in 2024 despite standout receivers Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp combining to miss 11 games due to injuries.
Adams' role alongside Nacua is also clear after Los Angeles released Kupp on March 12.
As for Stafford, his future with the Rams was briefly unclear early in the offseason before he ultimately agreed to a restructured contract that kept him on the team.
With Stafford returning and Adams in the mix, Los Angeles will be searching for a second straight NFC West title and third consecutive playoff appearance in 2025.
