Baylor HC: There Are No 'Weaknesses' on Duke, 'They Have Size and Length and Skill'
Baylor head coach Scott Drew praised Jon Scheyer's roster building after Duke reached the Sweet 16 of the 2025 NCAA Tournament with an 89-66 Sunday win over the Bears.
“I think you look at it, and the analytics show they didn't have any weaknesses... They're blessed, because they've got size and length and skill," Drew said in Sunday's postgame press conference (10:40 mark.) "They have really good players, and Coach Scheyer's done a really good job putting together a roster that blends, plays well together.
"I mean, a lot of them will play professionally because of that."

Duke set a March Madness program record by shooting 64.4 percent from the field in the win.
The Blue Devils also went 12-for-22 from deep in large part thanks to a career-high seven three-pointers from Tyrese Proctor.
Proctor has been excellent from behind the arc so far this tournament, having shot a combined 13-for-16 from three-point range during Duke's first two March Madness wins over Mount St. Mary's and Baylor.
"You make mistakes, they make you pay. I mean, Steph Curry was 7-for-8 today, and 6-for-8 yesterday," Drew said about Proctor. "I don't know if he's transferred to NC State, but he was pretty good the last two games here."
Freshman star guard V.J. Edgecombe scored 16 points in what is expected to be his final college game ahead of the 2025 NBA Draft.
Drew, who reportedly turned down interest from Kentucky to stay with Baylor last season, could potentially draw interest from other programs looking for a new head coach this offseason. If he stays in Waco, Drew will be tasked with rebuilding the roster without Edgecombe as Baylor continues the fight to make it past the second round for the first time since the program's 2021 national title.
