UConn was eliminated from the 2025 NCAA Tournament on Sunday with a loss to Florida in the second round.

The Huskies still covered the spread with a 77-75 defeat, as the Gators were favored by 9.5 points entering the contest. The reigning national champions are now 14-0 against the spread over their last three NCAA Tournament runs.

Head coach Dan Hurley's squad emerged victorious in the prior 13 games, tying the longest men's NCAA Tournament win streak since 1975.

Sunday's game was a back-and-forth affair, with neither team holding a double-digit lead. UConn led 61-58 with just under four minutes remaining in the second half, but Florida responded with a 14-3 run to seal the win.

Despite the loss, the performance was still admirable from a Huskies team that entered the tournament as a No. 8 seed after losing key contributors from their 2023-24 rotation including Cam Spencer, Donovan Clingan and Stephon Castle.

Florida was efficient on Sunday once again, shooting 46 percent from the field and 47.4 percent from three-point territory as a team.

The Gators will face either No. 4 Maryland or No. 12 Colorado State in the Sweet 16.
