BYU's offense was clicking during the second round of 2025 NCAA Tournament competition as the Cougars went 32-for-65 (49.2 percent) from the field.

The Cougars also made 46.2 percent of their shots from behind of the arc, going 12-for-26 from deep and impressing college basketball fans watching from home.

Wisconsin pushed back with a late run to come within two points in the final seconds, but BYU's defense held on for the win.

BYU's offense was led by Richie Saunders, who contributed 25 points on 9-for-16 shooting. Keba Keita, Egor Demin and Trevin Knell all similarly recorded double-digit points totals.

All-American John Tonje led the Badgers' late comeback push and scored a game-high 37 points, but the Wisconsin bench was outscored by BYU's reserves 24-3.

BYU will now advance to face either Saint Mary's or Alabama in the next round. After Saturday night's win, some fans are convinced the Cougars could make it past either opponent and into the Elite Eight.

No. 7 Gaels and No. 2 Crimson Tide tip off for the chance to meet up with BYU when the second round of March Madness continues Sunday at 6:10 p.m. ET.
