Calipari, No. 10 Arkansas Upset Pitino, No. 2 St. John's to Excite March Madness Fans
The first round of the NCAA men's basketball tournament lacked the volume of nail-biter matchups, shocking upsets and thrilling, buzzer-beating finishes that fans have grown accustomed to over the years.
Arkansas and St. John's made sure they weren't disappointed in the second round, however.
John Calipari's 10-seeded Razorbacks pulled off a massive upset on Saturday, knocking Rick Pitino's 2-seeded Red Storm out of the tournament, 75-66, that was a lot closer than the final scoreline.

Billy Richmond III led the way for Arkansas with 16 points and nine rebounds off the bench, while Karter Knox added 15 points and four blocks.
Zuby Ejiofor was fantastic for St. John's in the loss, putting up a 23-point, 12-rebound double-double, but Big East Player of the Year RJ Luis Jr. shot just 3-of-17 from the field and only managed nine points and seven boards.
Suffice to say, the upset had men's college basketball fans and pundits buzzing (outside of some questionable officiating):
Saturday's game was a physical, back-and-forth battle between the teams, though Arkansas seized control in the second half, with all five starters contributing seven or more points. It was another statement victory for the SEC as well, as the conference placed a record 13 teams in the tournament and were 8-6 heading into Saturday.
Up next for Arkansas will be a matchup with either No. 3 Texas Tech or No. 11 Drake in the Sweet 16.
