
Big Ten Sets Record with 9-0 Start in 2025 Men's NCAA Tournament Bracket
The Big Ten Conference has been representing itself well at March Madness.
The conference's eight teams all emerged victorious in their first-round games and Purdue's victory over McNeese State in Saturday's second-round matchup gave the conference a perfect 9-0 start.

All of the Big Ten team's in the first round were the higher seeds in their matchup. Four, including Purdue, entered the second round as the higher seed.
Michigan State is the highest-ranked team in the conference as a two-seed while Wisconsin is a three-seed, Purdue and Maryland are four-seeds and Michigan is a five-seed.
The Big-12 also had a blazing start to the tournament as its seven entrants went 6-1 in the first round. The SEC had the most teams make the tournament at 14 and eight of their entries have advanced to the second round.
The ACC has been disappointing as it's teams have gone 2-3 and Duke is the only program that remains alive in the tournament. The West Coast Conference, which only had two entries into the tournament, went 2-0 in the first round and is the only other unbeaten conference remaining.
