Amir Khan Lands Topps NIL Deal After McNeese State's March Madness Upset vs. Clemson

Zach BacharMar 21, 2025

As McNeese State student manager Amir Khan's popularity continues to grow, he secured another NIL deal.

Following the No. 12 seed Cowboys' March Madness victory over No. 5 seed Clemson on Thursday, Topps announced that it signed Khan to an NIL contract.

He'll be featured on his own trading cards for a limited time.

According to the company's website, the cards featuring Khan will be available from Friday through Monday at 5 p.m. ET.

Khan, who has gone viral for leading McNeese State onto the floor prior to games with a boombox around his shoulder, previously signed NIL contracts with Buffalo Wild Wings, TickPick and Insomnia Cookies.

He also became the first student manager to sign an endorsement deal.

In addition to his entrances with the team, Khan's face was also featured on the socks worn by Cowboys cheerleaders and junior guard Sincere Parker before their 69-67 victory over Clemson.

“It’s crazy," Khan said after the game, per Kyle Hightower of the Associated Press. "Because I never would have imagined this would have ever happened. I appreciate them for wearing it. I appreciate all the love and support. And seeing them wearing it means a lot to me.”

Khan will look to continue to provide a boost from the sidelines in the team's next NCAA Tournament matchup, a clash with No. 4 seed Purdue on Saturday.

Tipoff is set for 12:10 p.m. ET.
