Fantasy Baseball 2025 Rankings: Highlighting Top Prospects to Target
MLB prospects have value in all fantasy baseball leagues.
Now, that value varies based on myriad factors, including league size, scoring format and whether players are kept for more than a single season. Still, it exists across the entire fantasy board.
Fantasy managers need to find upside to get a leg up on the competition, and prospects are most capable of providing exactly that. After laying out our top 30 points-league player rankings, we'll spotlight two prospects worth prioritizing in even shallow redraft leagues.

Prospect Target: Jasson Dominguez, OF, New York Yankees
2 of 3
If you've been anywhere around the fantasy baseball world the past few years, you surely know the name Jasson Domínguez already. You might even know his nickname ("The Martian") or remember hearing some wild player comparisons for him.
Or maybe you just know him from his short tenure with the big-league team, as he played 26 combined games for the Yankees over the past two seasons. He might be an MLB regular already if not for the Tommy John Surgery he had to squeeze in between those appearances, but all signs point to him getting that opportunity now.
Will he hit the ground sprinting and slugging? Probably not. He's only a handful of weeks removed from his 22nd birthday. He has also had some trouble with contact at this level (.207 batting average), but he has also flashed his impressive tools (six homers and six steals).
The potential for elite production is very much present, though, and you get the feeling that whenever that switch flips, things will look blindingly bright. He has all the makings of a future superstar, and maybe that future is even closer than we think.
Prospect Target: Kristian Campbell, 2B/SS/OF, Boston Red Sox
3 of 3
It's been largely a rough spring for Kristian Campbell, so the less said about his Grapefruit League run the better.
So, let's instead focus on his monstrous production at every level of the minor leagues. In a two-season climb from High-A to Triple-A, he has racked up 21 homers and 27 steals in 137 games while posting a pristine .327/.439/.546 slash line.
That's five-tool dominance in the fantasy realm. And for someone who hasn't celebrated their 23rd birthday yet, he probably hasn't even shown his best yet.
Maybe he doesn't crack the opening day roster like it felt he might, but he's in that discussion and won't be kept out of the big leagues for long if he keeps crushing pitching to this degree. The talent is special, and special things will happen when it all comes together.
