Cooper Flagg, Johni Broome Headline 2025 Men's CBB AP All-American First Team

Duke forward Cooper Flagg and Auburn forward Johni Broome have been named unanimous selections for the Associated Press' men’s college basketball All-American first team.

Alabama guard Mark Sears, Purdue guard Braden Smith and Florida guard Walter Clayton Jr. rounded out the group.

Flagg, the freshman forward who has the inside track on being the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA draft should he declare, is averaging 18.9 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.1 assists this season. The Blue Devils (31-3) won the ACC tournament title and landed the No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament's East Region.

Broome starred at Morehead State for two years before transferring to Auburn in 2022. He is averaging 18.9 points, 10.6 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game. The Tigers (28-5) won the SEC's regular-season title before earning the NCAA tournament's No. 1 overall seed.

Sears is averaging 18.7 points and 4.9 assists per game for a 25-win Alabama team that earned a No. 2 seed in the NCAA tournament. Smith, who ranks No. 2 in assists per game in the nation (8.7), is averaging 16.1 points and 4.6 rebounds. Clayton is averaging a team-high 17.5 points for Florida, the SEC tournament champions who also earned the West Region's No. 1 seed.

The AP also named the second and third teams.

The second team consists of Texas Tech forward JT Toppin, Marquette guard Kam Jones, Wisconsin guard John Tonje, Memphis guard PJ Haggerty and St. John's guard RJ Luis Jr.

The third team includes Creighton big man Ryan Kalkbrenner, Tennessee guard Zakai Zeigler, Villanova forward Eric Dixon, Houston guard LJ Cryer and Kansas center Hunter Dickinson.
