Early WWE WrestleMania 41 Match Card Picks Including Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena

Erik BeastonMar 17, 2025

An epic first-time encounter between Cody Rhodes and John Cena for the Undisputed WWE Championship will headline WrestleMania 41 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 19-20.

That is one of four matches we know so far, though many more will be announced in the coming weeks.

Ahead of The Show of Shows, find out who is likely to win each of the announced matches with these predictions.

Undisputed WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena

1 of 4
WWE Elimination Chamber

John Cena's shocking betrayal of Cody Rhodes and the WWE Universe as a whole at Elimination Chamber made headlines and captivated audiences beyond professional wrestling.

The hero of millions cast aside 20 years of goodwill to align himself with The Rock, undergoing a heel turn many fans had waited decades for.

Now, Cena will challenge The American Nightmare on The Grandest Stage of Them All with a chance to become the most decorated Superstar in wrestling history with a record 17th world title.

A year ago, we watched Rhodes finish his story and win the one title that had eluded his father, Dusty Rhodes. It was an emotional scene and one of the great moments in WrestleMania history.

While fans would like to see The American Nightmare overcome the oppressive rule of The Rock and his new hired gun, there is little chance Cena underwent his heel turn only to lose at WrestleMania.

Expect an interference-heavy, story-driven match like last year's epic against Roman Reigns, but Cena ultimately wins and etches his name in the history books.

Prediction: Cena wins world title No. 17

World Heavyweight Championship: Jey Uso vs. Gunther

2 of 4
Monday Night RAW

Gunther has faced the challenge of Jey Uso three times and defeated him on every occasion.

However, this is a different Uso than The Ring General has squared off with before.

This is a more confident, assured Uso following his victory in the men's Royal Rumble, where he last eliminated John Cena to cash his ticket to the grand stage and one final showdown with the world heavyweight champion.

Main Event is one of the most popular stars on Raw, is a major merch mover for the company and has earned this opportunity dating back to the early days of the Bloodline saga five years ago.

Uso will enter Allegiant Stadium determined to do the one thing he has proved incapable of to this point: defeat Gunther and prove he is a worthy world champion.

Expect him to overcome The Ring General's oppressive strikes and raw power to win the title and set up the biggest "Yeet!" celebration yet.

Prediction: Uso wins the title

Women's World Championship: Iyo Sky vs. Bianca Belair

3 of 4
Monday Night RAW

As of now, Iyo Sky is slated to defend the Women's World Championship against Elimination Chamber winner, Bianca Belair. This despite the clear path towards a Triple Threat also involving Rhea Ripley.

A one-on-one match between the two would be great, based on the previous encounters pitting The Genius of the Sky against The EST of WWE.

They have established chemistry and a tension dating back to the days of Belair feuding with Damage CTRL, so they are no strangers to each other inside the squared circle.

The question is when and how Ripley is inserted into the contest because all signs point to that happening, especially after she allowed her emotions to get the best of her when she confronted Belair instead of keeping her eyes on Sky recently and suffered the consequences in the form of a championship loss.

Whether it stays a singles match or evolve into a Triple Threat is irrelevant because the winner will still be Belair, running her 'Mania record to an impressive 5-0.

Prediction: Belair wins the title

WWE Women's Championship: Tiffany Stratton vs. Charlotte Flair

4 of 4
SmackDown

Tiffany Stratton will wrestle the biggest and most important match of her young career when she defends the WWE Women's Championship against women's Royal Rumble winner Charlotte Flair.

On paper, Stratton is outmatched by The Queen, who has been in this position many times before.

The Center of the Universe has earned rave reviews for her character work and ability to pick up the ring game as quickly as she has, but Flair is a totally different opponent and on a totally different stage than Stratton is used to.

She has never faced this sort of pressure, against an opponent known for excelling under the brightest lights and on the biggest stage. There is plenty of reason to believe the 25-year-old will show up and show out in Las Vegas, but will she be able to hang with The Queen and retain her title?

Stratton will likely be better served chasing the gold against Flair than she will beating her at WrestleMania and having no one to defend against in the immediate future. Plus, The Queen losing her second 'Mania match in a row doesn't seem likely.

Prediction: Flair wins the title
