Ball from Final Out of Dodgers' World Series Win to Be Auctioned for Wildfire Relief
The ball Walker Buehler used to clinch the Los Angeles Dodgers' 2024 World Series win is going up for auction to benefit wildfire relief funds.
Will Smith, who was behind the plate during the New York Yankees' final out, is joining Buehler in auctioning the ball starting March 21.
The sale is being held by Will and Cara Smith's Catching Hope Foundation, in partnership with the Dodgers and the Buehler Family Foundation.

The ball will be auctioned through The Memorabilia Network with an opening bid of $150,000. The auction closes on April 5 at 9 p.m. ET.
All proceeds from the sale will go toward fire relief efforts, according to Smith's foundation.
"LA has shown us incredible support, and now it's our turn to give back to a city that means so much to us," the Catching Hope Foundation said in a statement. "This auction represents our commitment to being part of the rebuilding process for affected communities."
Buehler, who started Game 3 of the World Series, returned for Game 5 to pitch the final three outs of the championship.
He closed out the win by forcing Yankees batter Alex Verdugo into a swinging strikeout in the bottom of the ninth.
An MLB official came up to Smith to authenticate the ball while the Dodgers were still celebrating on the Yankee Stadium field.
"I gotta give it to Walker," Smith said while handing it over.
This won't be the first ball from the Dodgers' title run to make it to auction. The ball from Freddie Freeman's walk-off Grand Slam in Game 1 of the World Series sold through SCP Auctions in December for $1.56 million.
