Predicting WWE WrestleMania 41 Matches for CM Punk, Randy Orton, More Top Stars

Erik BeastonMar 10, 2025

The road to WrestleMania 41 is becoming clearer, with top rivalries and matches involving the most recognizable stars in the industry taking shape with every passing episode of Raw and SmackDown.

CM Punk and Randy Orton are just two of the former champions without formally announced matches but whose roles on April 19-20 are seemingly inevitable.

What are they and who are the other Superstars joining them in that category?

Let's take a look with this preview of the annual Showcase of the Immortals and the men and women who will help define it.

CM Punk

Monday Night RAW

At Elimination Chamber, a frustrated Seth Rollins delivered a Stomp to CM Punk that ultimately cost him the match and a chance to headline WrestleMania 41.

It comes on the heels of a vicious attack by The Visionary at the Royal Rumble that left Roman Reigns lying and out of action, furthering their intensely personal rivalry.

Add to that the favor Paul Heyman owes Punk for agreeing to join The Tribal Chief and The OG Bloodline at Survivor Series: WarGames, and you have a recipe for one of the most star-studded, multi-layered Triple Threat matches in WrestleMania history with a central character around whom the entire thing revolves.

Match Prediction: CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns

Randy Orton

2 of 5
WWE Elimination Chamber

After enduring a package piledriver from Kevin Owens that left him sidelined for months, Randy Orton returned at Elimination Chamber and dropped his former tag team partner with an RKO.

He set up for a punt but Owens narrowly escaped, robbing the third-generation star of his furious vengeance...at least for now.

Orton vs. Owens is a prime WrestleMania match, a battle between two former world champions driven not by a desire to add more gold to their resumes but by their unquenchable thirst to put an end to each other.

An obvious choice, perhaps, but this has the potential to be a show-stealer, despite other more star-studded affairs on this year's card.

Predicted Match: Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens

Rhea Ripley

3 of 5
Monday Night RAW

The multi-wrestler matches keep coming for The Grandest Stage of Them All following the conclusion to Rhea Ripley's Women's World Championship loss to Iyo Sky on last week's Raw.

The Eradicator allowed herself to be distracted by No. 1 contender Bianca Belair at ringside, thus setting up her defeat.

There is unfinished business there, as there is with Sky. With The Genius of the Sky slated to defend against Belair at WrestleMania 41, expect Ripley to somehow find her way into the match, creating a Triple Threat between the three women who carried the NXT women's division together earlier in their careers.

How the Australian gets inserted into the match remains to be seen. One thing is for sure, though: if the three-way dance is the direction WWE heads in, don't be surprised if fans are buzzing about a potential show-stealer by the Raw trio coming out of the biggest event of the year.

Predicted Match: Rhea Ripley vs. Iyo Sky vs. Bianca Belair for Women's World Championship

Drew McIntyre

4 of 5
WWE Elimination Chamber

It may not be the most ideal usage of Drew McIntyre considering his stature on Raw over the last 12 months, but he appears to be on a collision course with Damian Priest ahead of The Showcase of the Immortals.

The Archer of Infamy eliminated the Scot at the Royal Rumble, then sent him packing from the Elimination Chamber a month later.

Priest has been a thorn in the Scot's side dating back to last year's WrestleMania, when he cashed in Money in the Bank and took the World Heavyweight Championship from him in one of that show's unforgettable moments.

Add in a successful defense at Clash at the Castle in Glasgow a year ago, thanks in part to CM Punk, and you have a scenario in which McIntyre will be looking for a measure of revenge on the grandest stage.

Predicted Match: Drew McIntyre vs. Damian Priest

AJ Styles

5 of 5
Monday Night RAW

AJ Styles does not have many WrestleManias left by his own admission, so the 2025 show will carry even more meaning for him than previous ones.

While his path to the event has not always been clear, recent interactions with Logan Paul suggest the 47-year-old may be fixing for a showdown with the social media star.

Some will believe Styles has earned a more significant spot on the card, but outside of the main events, there aren't many more high-profile matches than a showdown with a mainstream celebrity, especially one who can match his athleticism.

A matchup with The Maverick provides Styles with the opportunity to see his name in the mainstream media and prove his greatness by following in the footsteps of Rey Mysterio, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens and Randy Orton, all of whom have delivered good-to-great matches with Paul on the grand stage.

Predicted Match: AJ Styles vs. Logan Paul
