Superstar Should Reflect You
The best part of creating this new Superstar from scratch is that it can be whatever you want it to be.
While there will be an understandable desire to replicate existing Superstars or straight up recreate those legends or competitors from other promotions who are not part of the game's already expansive roster, users should inject a little bit of themselves in their Superstar.
Build their look based on your own. Give them apparel that reflects your tastes, whether it be short trunks or long tights, top or none. Do not feel pressured to create something you think looks cool or looks like what everyone else thinks a pro wrestler should.
Give them a trademark that is unique to you. After all, what is better than seeing yourself on the screen, mixing it up with the best, brightest, and most legendary stars in WWE history and seeking a championship victory?
Even if deciding to build a distinctly original wrestler to assign one of three storylines (brand and bold, comedic and fun, or scheming and calculating) is the gamer's preference, throw in a personal touch that makes him or her special to the game.
A Well-Rounded Wrestler
The reintroduction of chain wrestling means players do not have to rely strickly on high flying or heavy-hitting offense to best their opponents. They can take a more technical approach, like a Bret Hart or Daniel Bryan, two former world champions who out wrestled bigger, stronger, faster, and high-flying opponents.
Given that chain wrestling isn't available in non-standard matches, users should not put all of their eggs in that particular basket. There are new brawling options, allowing competitors to take the fight out of the ring and into the NXT Parking Lot or WWE Archives, so making sure your Superstar can handle his or her own when it is time to throw fists is important.
Finding the balance between strength and speed is also key, as exerting too much energy just running around the ring will weaken your competitor and set them up for defeat.
Finally, choosing a high-damage submission move or a high-impact move for a finisher is key. It should be a move that does as much damage as possible and sets you up for victory once it is hit. Look no further than The Undertaker's Tombstone piledriver or Last Ride Powerbomb as two distinct finishers that are known for driving the fight out of their opponents.
Regardless of how your wrestler looks, how he or she matches up with the opponents will ultimately determine their success in the MyRISE mode, making the implementation of their moves and style the most important element of the creation suite.
