Todd McShay NFL Draft Big Board 2025: Shedeur at 16, Top 32 Rankings After Combine

Adam WellsMar 6, 2025

Coming out of the NFL scouting combine, The Ringer's Todd McShay has updated his top 32 players in the 2025 draft class.

On the latest episode of The Todd McShay Show (starts at 26:45 mark), the draft guru has Shedeur Sanders right in the middle of the first-round mix at No. 16 overall and Penn State star Abdul Carter as the top-ranked prospect.

This seems to be right in the area where Sanders is regarded in the 2025 class. B/R's NFL scouting department ranked him as the 18th-best prospect coming out of the combine.

Sanders' stock has been one of the biggest talking points coming out of the combine. There's been increased talk that NFL teams aren't as high on him as fans seem to think.

The Athletic's Dane Brugler noted in his most recent mock draft posted on Tuesday that Sanders is "a wild card in this draft," with the possibility he could be a top-six pick or fall out of the first round.

Given how many teams picking at the top of the draft need a quarterback, it would seem unlikely Sanders isn't a day one selection.

Perhaps the most interesting note from McShay's big board, which could impact Sanders, is he has Mississippi quarterback Jaxson Dart in the top 32 at No. 29 overall.

The response to Dart's combine performance was very positive, but there are questions about how NFL-ready he is because the Ole Miss system does so much to elevate quarterback play.

If there's a team debating between two quarterbacks, Dart's combine workout could potentially give him an edge over Sanders. It seems unlikely given that most analysts do seem to believe the Colorado star is the better overall player, but the draft tends to be very unpredictable when quarterbacks are involved.

There's also still a lot of time before the draft for things to change. Sanders could easily improve his stock and solidify his status as a potential top-10 pick at Colorado's pro day later this month.
