Jaxson Dart at 2025 NFL Combine: Measurements, Highlights and Reaction

Mike ChiariMar 1, 2025

Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart threw at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis on Saturday in an effort to put himself in the first-round conversation.

Miami's Cam Ward and Colorado's Shedeur Sanders are widely viewed as the top two quarterbacks in the class, so it came as little surprise that they decided against throwing. However, with plenty to prove, Dart tried to impress NFL talent evaluators.

The 21-year-old gunslinger acquitted himself well, showing impressive arm strength and accuracy on intermediate passes such as slats and outs:

On top of that, Dart threw some beautiful deep balls on vertical routes, showing ideal touch:

Dart also performed well in the throwing velocity drill with a speed of 58 mph:

That was the same velocity achieved at last year's combine by Bo Nix, who went on to be one of the best rookie performers in the NFL last season with the Denver Broncos.

Based on his performance in the throwing drills, Dart received a ton of praise from observers on social media:

Dart did not participate in any drills besides the ones related to throwing the football, but he did get his measurements taken, and they were right in line with what NFL teams look for.

While not enormous by NFL quarterback standards, Dart measured 6'2" and 223 pounds with a prototypical hand size of 9½ inches.

In addition to his strong throwing performance and solid measurables, Dart has experience on his side entering the draft.

Over his one season at USC and three with Ole Miss, Dart appeared in 45 games and started 41 of them, going 28-13.

Dart had his best season to date in 2024 when he completed 69.3 percent of his passes for 4,279 yards, 29 touchdowns and six interceptions, while also rushing for 495 yards and three scores.

He was a First Team All-SEC selection last season, while also winning the Conerly Trophy, which is given annually to the best college football player in the state of Mississippi.

On the latest big board produced by the BR NFL Scouting Department last month, Dart was graded the No. 75 overall player and No. 4 quarterback in the draft behind Ward, Sanders and Ohio State's Will Howard.

That imputes a third-round grade, but based on his performance at the combine, Dart may have jumped into the second round or perhaps even the late first round in the view of some NFL teams.
