Hardy Boyz Beat Fraxiom to Retain TNA Tag Titles at NXT Roadblock

The Hardy Boyz defeated Fraxiom at NXT Roadblock on Tuesday to retain the TNA World Tag Team Championships.

Jeff and Matt Hardy arrived to the ring with a massive pop from the crowd at The Theater at Madison Square Garden.

An explosive and high-flying match ensued.

In the end, Jeff Hardy's Swanton Bomb on Nathan Frazer sealed the victory.

As part of WWE's official working relationship with TNA, the brothers revealed several weeks ago in a promo that aired on NXT that they would be making an appearance for the silver-and-black brand.

On the Feb. 25 episode of NXT, the Hardys took on No Quarter Catch Crew's Tavion Heights and Myles Borne, and picked up the win.

Following their impressive victory, The Hardy Boyz were confronted by NXT tag team champions Nathan Frazer and Axiom.

Fraxiom declared themselves the best tag team in the world today, but they also acknowledged the Hardys as the greatest tag team of all time.

Due to their apparent desire to prove they can measure up to the best tag team ever, Fraxiom challenged the Hardys to a match for the TNA World Tag Team Championships.

Matt and Jeff quickly accepted, and it wasn't long before the bout was made official for NXT Roadblock.

Frazer and Axiom have been a dominant force as a tag team, having held the NXT Tag Team Championships for the vast majority of the past year.

Given they have run through essentially every team in NXT, they were in need of a new challenge, and they got precisely that in the form of The Hardy Boyz, who have a long history of success in WWE and across the entire pro wrestling world.

The Hardys proved at Roadblock they still have plenty left in the tank by retaining the TNA world tag team titles, which could set the stage for a rematch against Fraxiom with the NXT tag team titles on the line.
