WWE 2K25 DLC Roster to Feature 3 NBA Stars, Celebrity Guests, Penta and More Stars

WWE and 2K announced the playable characters that will be available as downloadable content over the next several months in the upcoming WWE 2K25 video game on Wednesday.

The 25 characters set to be introduced as DLC between May and November are as follows:

New Wave Pack - May 2025

Dunk & Destruction Pack - June 2025

The DLC for WWE 2K25 features a unique mix of current and former WWE Superstars, as well as celebrities from outside the world of pro wrestling.

While the names have yet to be revealed, two celebrities and three NBA players will be included as DLC in WWE 2K25.

Given his recent involvement with WWE, it is fair to wonder if rapper Travis Scott may be one of the celebrities. Scott appeared at Elimination Chamber on Saturday and helped The Rock and John Cena beat down Cody Rhodes in one of the most shocking moments in WWE history.

In terms of active wrestlers who are part of the DLC packages, many of them signed with WWE in recent months.

Developers likely didn't have enough time to put Penta, Giulia, Stephanie Vaquer, Jordynne Grace, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin in the game upon its first release, but all of them will slowly make their way into WWE 2K25.

Giulia is the reigning NXT women's champion and Vaquer is the NXT women's North American champion, while Shelley and Sabin have already held the WWE Tag Team Championships as the Motor City Machine Guns.

Penta has been one of the faces of Raw since making his WWE debut a couple of months ago, and Grace has taken NXT by storm since signing with WWE ahead of the Royal Rumble.

Perhaps the two most shocking inclusions in the WWE 2K25 DLC announcement are New Jack and Abyss.

New Jack, who died in 2021 at the age of 58, is among the most notorious and controversial wrestlers of all time, best known for his run in ECW from 1995 to 2001.

While New Jack did wrestle some dark matches for WWE, he never appeared on WWE programming, nor has he ever been included in merchandising or video games for the company until now.

Abyss is among the most recognizable and successful stars in TNA history, having held the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, X-Division Championship, TNA Television Championship and TNA World Tag Team Championship during a tenure that lasted from 2002 to 2019.

The man behind the Abyss character, Christopher Park, joined WWE in a backstage capacity as a producer in 2019.

Since WWE now has an official partnership with TNA, it opened the door for WWE to include a character who never wrestled for WWE, WCW or ECW in WWE 2K25.

WWE 2K25 will be officially released for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC on March 14, but those who pre-ordered can begin playing this Friday.
