Another edition of WWE and 2K's annual release means another edition featuring one of the biggest, most jam-packed rosters in wrestling game history.
The Bloodline dominates the headlines this year, thanks to Roman Reigns appearing as the cover star and the entire special edition devoted to the Samoan wrestling dynasty.
The Tribal Chief (rated 96, tied for the highest among active wrestlers), Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tanga Loa are all there for fans to play with, as are legendary members of the family, such as Yokozuna, Umaga, and The Wild Samoans make up the legacy members of wrestling's most storied family.
Joining Reigns as top stars in this year's game include the reigning undisputed WWE champion Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Seth "Freakin" Rollins, Damian Priest, Drew McIntyre, John Cena, Rey Mysterio, Kevin Owens, and Gunther.
Top women's stars Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Bayley, Nia Jax, and legends such as Trish Stratus, Lita, Chyna, Eve Torres, and 2025 Hall of Fame inductee, Michelle McCool help make up the women's side of things.
Top legends on the roster include "The Final Boss" himself, The Rock, Andre the Giant, Batista, Booker T, Bret Hart, The Dudley Boyz, and Eddie Guerrero, among others.
The expansiveness of the roster and willingness of the developers and WWE to introduce or, in some cases, reintroduce talent, is part of what makes the franchise as popular as it has been over the years.
This is no different.
Players can perform as the top stars in today's WWE Universe against the legends who laid the groundwork for them to become the household names that some are. The dream match-ups and possibilities are a key element of the release and 2K clearly recognized the significance here.
And that does not even include the downloadable content.

While 2K has been relatively quiet regarding the DLC that will release in the weeks and months after the game as part of the season pass and special editions, we do know that those who pre-order the standard edition or throw down the extra cash for the Deadman or Bloodline editions will receive The Wyatt Sicks' Uncle Howdy, Dexter Lumis, Nikki Cross, Erick Rowan, and Joe Gacy.
The faction's debut in the game will make players who have not gotten their fill of the enigmatic group happy, allowing them to program the haunting competitors against the top stars in this year's release.
Friday, WWE Games on X released a new teaser of some of the other stars joining Howdy and Co., leaving fans to decode it and decide who those new faces may be.
The petals in the opening image would seem to indicate a connection to Japan, potentially hinting at the inclusion of 2024 Hall of Famer Bull Nakano or NXT women's champion Giulia.
The second image is the city of Detroit and those who pay close enough attention to the street signs may even spot a hand gesture or two that clearly suggest The Motor City Machine Guns' Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley will make their WWE Games debut.
The final image is of Santiago, Chile and features a rather obvious silhouette of NXT women's North American champion Stephanie Vaquer emblazoned on a skyscraper.
All of those stars would be welcome editions from fans who have come to expect the best from the downloadable content, especially after last year's post-release packs included the likes of CM Punk, Jade Cargill, Terry Funk, Diamond Dallas Page, Lex Luger, and other current and legendary Superstars.
