WWE 2K25: Reviewing Latest Gameplay Videos, Season Pass Details and Superstar Ratings

The latest in WWE's popular video game franchise, WWE 2K25, hits Playstations 4 and 5, XBox Series X/S, XBox One, and Steam on March 14, with those who purchase the Bloodline and/or Deadman Editions enjoying early access to this year's release on March 7.

This year's offering, like most in recent history, features a roster brimming with Superstars from the past, present, and future for gamers to control in a variety of matches, modes, and the ever-present Showcase.

Who are the top-rated Superstars in this year's offering and what can fans of the franchise expect from its Season Pass option? Find out with this preview of the hotly anticipated game.

Highest Rated Men's Superstars

The highest-rated Superstars from the active men's roster, according to SmackDown Hotel and of those known to this point, are:

It is not particularly surprising that Rhodes and Reigns top the list. They are two of the biggest stars in WWE today, have headlined the last two WrestleManias, are the only two men to hold the top prize in the company over the last 12 months, and are among the top draws in the industry.

While others whose ratings have yet to be released may come close, such as CM Punk, Seth "Freakin" Rollins, or John Cena, Rhodes and Reigns as the top two among today's Superstars is a logical conclusion.

Interestingly is Priest slotting in at No. 3 with a rating of 91.

A number that high reflects the monumental year he had as world heavyweight champion, a former member of the dominant Judgment Day faction, and one of the centerpieces of the Raw brand. A career year for The Archer of Infamy results in a career-high ranking.

In his first WWE gaming appearance, Fatu's 87 rating is a definitive statement to fans from the company that The Samoan Werewolf is one to watch out for in the coming weeks and months, but he is also an unstoppable force who should only continue to improve both in the ring and in the game.

Last year's cover athlete, The EST, tops the list of Superstars from the women's roster whose ratings have already been released, and with good reason. Already one of the most decorated competitors of her generation, Belair is unbeaten at WrestleMania, dominated the tag team division in 2024, and is a threat to break back into singles contention at any moment.

She will likely face stiff competition for the top spot, though, from her fellow cover athlete last year, Rhea Ripley, who figures to be one of the highest rated Superstars in the game regardless of the division.

The same can be said for 2025 Royal Rumble winner Charlotte Flair and "The Man" Becky Lynch, both of whom are top trailblazers in WWE history and typically do rank among the top five.

The biggest surprise is Bayley, who slots in at No. 5, behind Sky and Jax, despite having defeated the former at last year's WrestleMania and reigning as WWE women's champion for four months. The Role Model is quickly evolving into the Rodney Dangerfield of the women's division in that she can't get any respect.

Season Pass Details

The Season Pass is traditionally the best way for players to get their hands on all of the downloadable content that accompanies a WWE game these days.

Not only can fans who pre-order the standard version of the game receive The Wyatt Sicks for doing so, but they will have access to every other Superstar released after the game's official launch.

Those wrestlers have yet to be revealed but one look at last year's lineup gives players an indication that WWE and 2K Games will not skimp on the star power.

The returning CM Punk, NFL punter-turned-WWE-commentator Pat McAfee, platinum recording artist Post Malone, Jade Cargill, and legends The Dudley Boyz and Lex Luger were among those Superstars available to fans who purchased the Season Pass individually or received it with the Deluxe, 40 Years of WrestleMania, and Bray Wyatt Editions.

If consistent with last year's release timing, fans can expect a new DLC pack approximately every month.

With WWE's new partnership with TNA Wrestling, one has to wonder if that opens the door for that promotion's stars to appear in the game. If so, WWE 2K25 has the potential to go down in the history books with one of the most stacked rosters of all time.

Considering how many stars are already announced for the game, that is an impressive statement.
