Mike ChiariFeb 28, 2025

The final premium live event before WrestleMania 41 will roll through the Great White North on Saturday, as Elimination Chamber emanates from Toronto.

Elimination Chamber will have huge implications for WrestleMania, as the winner of the men's and women's Elimination Chamber matches will earn world title bouts on the Grandest Stage of Them All.

On top of that, two longtime friends and rivals in Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn will battle in an unsanctioned match, plus WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus will make her in-ring return in her hometown.

Top Elimination Chamber Matches to Watch

Men's Elimination Chamber Match

Regardless of what Rhodes decides at Elimination Chamber when it comes to The Rock, he will know the identity of his WrestleMania opponent at the end of the night.

In perhaps one of the most stacked Elimination Chamber matches of all time, a field of John Cena, CM Punk, Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, Logan Paul and Damian Priest will battle for the opportunity to challenge for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania.

A strong argument can be made for any of Cena, Punk, McIntyre or Rollins being the winner, as all of them have history with Rhodes to some degree, and all of them are multi-time world champions.

Cena will be competing in the last Elimination Chamber match of his career for the chance to become a 17-time world champ at his final WrestleMania.

A win for Punk would likely secure him a WrestleMania main event for the first time in his illustrious career, while both McIntyre and Rollins are looking to return to the top after they each lost a world title at last year's WrestleMania.

The possibility of The Rock having a hand in the result of the match adds even more intrigue, but even without him, the 2025 men's Elimination Chamber match has a chance to be one of the best of all time.

Women's Elimination Chamber Match

To call the women's Elimination Chamber match unpredictable would be a massive understatement, as any of the six participants seem to have a legitimate chance to prevail.

On Monday night's episode of Raw, Rhea Ripley will put the Women's World Championship on the line against Iyo Sky, but first the challenger for the title at WrestleMania will be determined at Elimination Chamber.

Of the six Superstars set to compete in the women's Chamber match, only Liv Morgan has had any major recent involvement with Ripley, who figures to emerge from Raw with her title reign intact.

However, Morgan just won the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships with Raquel Rodriguez on this week's episode of Raw, making it relatively unlikely that she will win, although it isn't completely out of the question.

Former champs in Bianca Belair, Naomi, Alexa Bliss and Bayley all have to be considered potential winners based on their track record of success and star power, as any of them could be strong opponents for Rhea.

The dark horse is Roxanne Perez, who was the runner-up in the women's Royal Rumble match and seems to be on the verge of a full-time call-up from NXT to the main roster.

Winning the Chamber would send her well on her way to the top of the women's division, but she'll have to go through many of WWE's biggest female stars in order to reach that point.

Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn

While the Elimination Chamber matches are almost always the focal point of the Elimination Chamber PLE, a different match has a strong opportunity to steal the show this year.

Two best friends turned bitter enemies in Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are set to meet in an unsanctioned match in their home country of Canada on Saturday.

A few weeks ago, Owens put Zayn on the shelf with a vicious piledriver as a means of payback due to the fact that Zayn did not help him beat Rhodes for the WWE Championship in a ladder match at Royal Rumble.

Zayn pressed Raw general manager Adam Pearce to give him a match against Owens, but Pearce initially refused due to the fact that Zayn is not cleared to compete.

Pearce ultimately relented, but only under the condition that the match be unsanctioned so that WWE could not be held responsible if anything were to happen to Zayn.

Owens and Zayn have done battle countless times over the past decade both within and outside WWE, and the terms of Saturday's match could help make it one of the best they have ever had.
