WWE Elimination Chamber Booking Decisions That Will Define WrestleMania Storylines
The 2025 edition of the Elimination Chamber premium live event will set the stage for the rest of the Road to WrestleMania 41, so WWE can't mess up the show with lousy booking decisions.
With two Elimination Chamber matches set for the show—with the winner of each getting a world title shot at WrestleMania—the success or failure of the April event depends heavily on Saturday's results at the Rogers Centre in Toronto.
Here are the Superstars who must shine at the Elimination Chamber PLE to ensure WrestleMania is a success.
John Cena Cements Spot at WrestleMania 41
After losing in his final Royal Rumble, John Cena revealed he would enter the men's Elimination Chamber match, as it would be his last chance to compete for a world title at WrestleMania.
With the WWE icon adorning the promotional poster for the PLE, the 16-time world champion needs the victory.
Not only does Cena need the win on Saturday to secure his place at 'Mania, but the April event also needs him in a marquee spot to be a success, as the mainstream attention he brings to the show will almost certainly guarantee its own success.
Add in Cena's history with The Rock, and the possibilities involving the two legends and undisputed WWE champion Cody Rhodes would be enough to ensure the Road to WrestleMania 41 unquestionably hits the mark with fans.
Alexa Bliss is Rhea Ripley's Worst Nightmare
While the men's Elimination Chamber match result seems a foregone conclusion, the field is wide open on the women's bout, with several possible winners being worthy of a WrestleMania championship match.
Liv Morgan, Bianca Belair, Bayley and Roxanne Perez are all legitimate contenders to face Rhea Ripley for the Women's World Championship, but the titleholder's biggest threat should be Alexa Bliss.
The Goddess returned to WWE at the Royal Rumble, marking her first appearance with the company in two years. With the power of The Fiend still running through her character, she should enter the Chamber last and win by pinning Morgan, who eliminated her from the women's Rumble.
Ripley's dark and brooding character has become immensely popular, and Bliss has returned to huge ovations from the fans, resulting in a face-vs-face that would work. The challenger will be embodying the violence she learned from The Fiend, which would be a threat the Australian has never faced previously.
The women's division needs a fresh feud, and Bliss against Ripley is almost too good to be true.
Randy Orton Gets Unsanctioned
One of the most anticipated bouts of 2025 so far is the unsanctioned match between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn scheduled for Elimination Chamber.
The two longtime friends never disappoint, and this battle will be no different.
However, the real shock of this match should be how it ends and who interferes.
After Owens and Zayn have dismantled each other, using every weapon at their disposal, Randy Orton should make a surprise appearance after his extended absence, attacking KO and setting his sights on the man who previously attacked him.
For good measure, The Viper can RKO Zayn and drape his body over Owens, giving the popular veteran a marquee win and setting the stage for either a standard singles match with Owens or a possible Triple Threat with both men.
Orton's return would instantly make the Road to WrestleMania more enjoyable.
