One of the staples of the WWE 2K series has been the Showcase mode, which takes players on a journey through the company's rich history, including top feuds, rivalries, storylines, and Superstar triumphs.
This year is no different, with developers highlighting The Bloodline Dynasty and giving players the opportunity to relive, rewrite, and create history featuring some of the giants of the industry.
Legendary competitors from the Samoan Wrestling Dynasty playable in this year's game include Yokozuna, The Headshrinkers, Rikishi, "High Chief" Peter Maivia, The Islanders, and young Rocky Maivia. Also represented are former WWE women's champion Nia Jax and former women's tag team champion, Naomi, whose husband is Jimmy Uso, thus making her Bloodline by proxy.
The mode will also give players the opportunity to compete with first time additions to the game, members of Solo Sikoa's New Bloodline, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tanga Loa.
Narrated by "The Wise Man" Paul Heyman, the Showcase mode features the chance for fans to relive Yokozuna's decimation of Hulk Hogan from King of the Ring 1993 and The Usos' Hell in a Cell victory, play as Umaga and rewrite history by defeating John Cena for the WWE Championship at New Year's Revolution in 2007, and create history by competing as The Wild Samoans against fellow Hall of Famers, The Dudley Boyz.

Intergender Wrestling Returns to WWE Games
3 of 3
Thought it is not yet commonplace on WWE television, intergender wrestling returns to its annual video game release. Now, fans can compete as a member of the men's or women's division, against opponents of the opposite.
They can live out the long rivalry between Rhea Ripley, booking The Eradicator against "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio in a long-awaited grudge match.
Fans of the 2019 Royal Rumble can recreate Randy Orton's RKO to Nia Jax that led to her elimination.
Joining the return of intergender wrestling are chain wrestling, Underground and Bloodline Rules matches, and barricade diving.
The continued introduction (or reintroduction) of those match types keeps the game from becoming stale and gives players new and engaging options to choose from.
