Becky Lynch has not appeared on WWE programming since May, but there are reportedly discussions being had regarding her return.

According to Fightful Select (h/t Steve Carrier of Ringside News), Lynch is indeed under contract with WWE and healthy, but she hasn't yet been presented with a concrete plan for her on-screen return.

Per Fightful, Lynch is awaiting her creative direction, and it is believed that she and WWE's decision-makers have traded ideas on that front.

WWE reportedly wanted to get her involved with WrestleMania 41 at some point, which suggests it remains possible she could return before or at WrestleMania in April.

Lynch's previous WWE contract reportedly expired on June 1, which was shortly after she dropped the Women's World Championship to Liv Morgan.

Becky has not wrestled since her rematch against Liv on the May 27 episode of Raw, but it was reported in January that she had inked a new deal with WWE.

The prevailing expectation among fans was that The Man would return as a surprise entrant in the women's Royal Rumble match earlier this month, but it didn't come to fruition.

Considering WrestleMania is now less than two months away, it is fair to wonder if WWE might hold her out until after the event even if original plans called for her to be part of it.

It is getting close to the time where it wouldn't be prudent to throw together a storyline and match, although it is always possible WWE could reintroduce her in a different way.

Having Lynch make a surprise appearance at WrestleMania 41 in some capacity would elicit a huge crowd response and set the stage for her to be a major player in the weeks and months after the show.

Cargill Reportedly May Be Gearing Up for WWE Return

With WrestleMania 41 approaching, WWE may soon get a key player back into the fold in the form of Jade Cargill.

According to PWInsider.com (h/t Carrier), Cargill is no longer making appearances at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, where she had reportedly been training recently for her return.

That could be a sign that Cargill is now ready to resurface on WWE programming at any moment.

Cargill was last seen on an episode of SmackDown in November, as she was left laying on the hood of a car backstage. The injury angle kept Jade out of the WarGames match at Survivor Series, and it resulted in Naomi stepping up to be Bianca Belair's new partner so she could continue defending the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships.

The identity of Cargill's attacker remains a mystery, but on a recent episode of SmackDown, general manager Nick Aldis showed Belair and Naomi video from the night Jade was attacked that showed Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez leaving the scene.

Bianca and Naomi put the tag titles on the line against Liv and Raquel on Monday night's episode of Raw, and Morgan and Rodriguez were victorious.

Both Belair and Naomi will compete in the women's Elimination Chamber match on Saturday, and now that they are no longer tag champs, there is a perfect opening for Cargill to return and reveal her attacker.

There is seemingly more to the storyline than Morgan and Rodriguez being the ones responsible, and there is perhaps a strong possibility that Naomi could be outed as the attacker.

If that happens, it would possibly set the stage for Jade's first WrestleMania singles match against Naomi, and it would pave the way for Bianca to potentially win the Chamber match and challenge for the Women's World Championship at WrestleMania.

Zayn Sticking with WWE for Long Haul

Although he refused to provide specifics regarding his contract, Sami Zayn suggested this week that he doesn't plan on leaving WWE any time soon.

Speaking to Fightful Select (h/t Carrier), Zayn said the following when asked about his contract status: "I'm usually kind of private about that stuff. I don't think I'm going anywhere. I've got a good thing going here and I see it continuing for the foreseeable future."

In January 2022, Fightful Select (h/t Michael Perry of Ringside News) reported that Zayn had re-signed with WWE for "several more years," although the exact terms of the deal were unclear.

Zayn, 40, signed with WWE in 2013 after making a name for himself on the independent scene as the masked wrestler El Generico.

He removed the mask and reached new heights in WWE, becoming NXT champion and later a four-time intercontinental champion and also tag team champion with his longtime friend Kevin Owens.

Zayn and Owens have been both best friends and bitter enemies from a storyline perspective during their time together in WWE, and they are once again at odds.

Owens took Zayn out with a Package Piledriver several weeks ago, leading to an unsanctioned match between them this Saturday at Elimination Chamber in their home country of Canada.

That match has an excellent chance to steal the show, and it could potentially lead to another showdown between them on the Grandest Stage of Them All at WrestleMania 41.

Zayn is still striving to win his first world title in WWE, and although it hasn't happened yet, he has all the tools to reach that level if he continues to stick around.
