Becky Lynch Unsure About WWE Future amid Rumors: 'I Genuinely Don't Have Any Answers'
Becky Lynch was noncommittal when asked about her long-term future in professional wrestling with WWE.
"I don't know the answer to these questions," she said on Getting Over: Wrestling Podcast. "I genuinely don't and I'm being so vague and I don't mean to be in any way cagey.
"But I feel like I have a great mind for wrestling and a great love for it, and so it's always going to be there in my heart and in my head. It's part of my family; it's the reason I have my family. It's so important to me. I just don't know what that looks like in the future. I genuinely don't have any answers for you."
The interviewer queried how long Lynch intends to compete full time and whether she will want to work sporadically, like John Cena and other major stars, once she decides her full-time run is over.
Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp reported in January the seven-time world champion is signed to WWE, which answered one big question about her current status.
But Lynch hasn't wrestled since losing the Women's World Championship to Liv Morgan last May at King And Queen Of The Ring and then falling short in her rematch with Morgan on Raw.
Some thought the 38-year-old might show up for Raw's premiere on Netflix, and that obviously didn't happen. Perhaps a comeback at WrestleMania 41 is on the table, but we're getting closer and closer to mid-April with no sign of her.
At the very least, Lynch isn't contemplating retirement. Broadly speaking, her comments point to how her career could wind down a bit earlier than you'd expect, though.
