Connor McDavid's OT Goal Thrills Fans as Canada Beats USA to Win NHL 4 Nations Final
The NHL 4 Nations Face-Off came to an end on Thursday with Canada on top.
Edmonton Oilers star Connor McDavid scored the game-winning goal in overtime to seal the win for his country and avenge Canada's previous loss to the United States on Saturday.
Canada struck early in the first period as Nathan MacKinnon scored just under five minutes into the game, but the United States answered back later in the first with a goal from Brady Tkachuk.

In the second period, Jake Sanderson came from the defensive end to score, giving the United States a 2-1 lead.
That lead lasted only momentarily, though, as Canada's Sam Bennett tied things up before the end of the second period.
A scoreless third period saw the game go into overtime, setting up a fitting ending for a chippy rivalry between the United States and Canada at the 4 Nations Face-Off.
Both teams had several good looks at the goal in overtime, but ultimately it was McDavid who won it for his country.
The game-winner from McDavid had fans hyped on social media:
While the 4 Nations Face-Off might not hold the same weight as a Stanley Cup or Olympic win, there's no denying it had that kind of feel on Thursday. No matter who came out on top in the 4 Nations Face-Off, the first year of the event was undoubtedly a success and should be one of the most exciting events for years to come.
