
Cooper Flagg Records Double-Double, Hyped By CBB Fans as No. 3 Duke Dominates UVA
Cooper Flagg posted a double-double in the first half of the Duke Blue Devils' 80-62 victory over the University of Virginia Cavaliers on Monday night, much to the fans' excitement.
Along with Flagg's 17 points, 14 rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks, the No. 3 Blue Devils improved to 23-3 on the season, while the Cavaliers fell to 13-13.
Fans were excited by Flagg's performance as Duke dominated the Cavaliers.
Alongside Flagg, freshman guard Kon Knueppel finished the night with 17 points, seven rebounds and one steal.
Flagg kicked off the scoring for the Blue Devils, sinking a jumper to put two points on the board. He closed out the half the same way, knocking down another jumper as Duke entered the break with a 43-29 lead.
He finished the half with a double-double, recording 10 points on 5-of-10 shooting, along with 11 rebounds and two blocks.
Out of halftime, Flagg hit a layup after Knueppel also made one, marking the beginning of the end for the Cavaliers.
Duke outscored Virginia, 37-33 in the second half behind Flagg's standout performance, playing 30 minutes before being benched for the blowout.
Along with his standout performance on Monday night, Flagg became the first ACC player in the past 25 years to record 500 points, 100 assists and 30 blocks during regular season play.
