Jayden Daniels' Wrist Injury Downplayed by Commanders HC Dan Quinn Before Packers Game
Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn assured reporters Tuesday he has "zero concerns" about the status of quarterback Jayden Daniels in Week 2.
The Commanders listed Daniels on their injury report (right wrist) ahead of Thursday's game against the Green Bay Packers.
There didn't seem to be anything wrong with him in a 21-6 opening week win over the New York Giants as he threw for 233 yards and one touchdown while being on the field for all of Washington's offensive snaps.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
On the whole, the 2024 No. 2 overall pick exceeded expectations as a rookie. His early performance quickly raised questions over whether the Chicago Bears should've picked him instead of Caleb Williams to open the draft.
That narrative only strengthened as Daniels ultimately finished with 3,568 passing yards, 25 touchdowns and nine interceptions along with 891 yards and six scores on the ground.
Many fans assumed 2024 would be a rebuilding year for Washington. A new head coach and a rookie quarterback typically foreshadow an adjustment period. Instead, the Commanders won 12 games and punched a ticket to the postseason, making an underdog run to the NFC title game.
That served to raise the bar for 2025, with Washington poised to challenge for another playoff berth.
In Marcus Mariota, the team has an experienced backup who possesses a skill set similar to that of Daniels. While filling in for Daniels in a 40-7 victory over the Carolina Panthers last year, Mariota threw for 202 yards and two touchdowns and had 34 yards on 11 carries.
The passing game is a little better than it was a season ago thanks to the addition of 2021 All-Pro Deebo Samuel, too.
But losing Daniels would clearly be a blow for the offense.
