Notre Dame Pounds Nevada,Holt Thinks Clauson Is a Heisman Candidate

The Irish totally dominated the Nevada Wolf Pack Saturday afternoon.

Did you expect anything else?

Great game by the Irish!

Did I say against NEVADA!

Just wanted to make sure I mentioned that before the faithful start talking about national championship.

Well too late ! I hear the chanting already.

“This is the year, the ghost of Ty is gone, we can win it all”

As always, the Notre Dame friendly media started their public relation campaign as soon as the season started.

One of my favorite coaches of all time, Lou Holz, has already jumped on the Heisman bandwagon, his quote “Clausen should be placed on the watch list as a candidate for the Heisman”

Hey coach, I love you and I’m sure you know about more football than anyone at the Bleacher Report, but a Heisman for Clausen!

I’m a big believer in letting the stats talks, so here is Mr. Clausen signature games at ND:

Against Hawaii last season: 22of 26.….411 yards and 5 touchdowns.

Against Nevada this season: 15 of 18.… 315 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Those are some great stats in last 2 games for the Irish QB, awesome, nine touchdowns and 726 yards in the last two games!

Here is the downer, sorry folks, Hawaii and Nevada were the “worst pass defense” teams in the country, if you don’t believe me , look it up.

I know ND fans most think I really hate The Irish, I don’t ! I just don’t like all the gratuitous hype they get year in and out.

This years team is not a 10 game winner folks, sorry , I hate to bust your bubble.

I’m just trying to help all the Irish fans.

I don’t want them to be too disappointed , jut want to let them know ahead of time.

This is not the year!
