Garrick Sherman, Former College Basketball Player, Rips NCAA in Twitter Rant

Scott PolacekMay 27, 2015

Garrick Sherman didn’t make a lot of noise on the court as a Michigan State player, but Spartans fans will surely know his name now.

The center, who transferred to Notre Dame in 2012 and actually averaged 13.5 points and 7.3 rebounds per game in his senior year, took to Twitter to criticize the NCAA, per Troy Machir of Sporting News.

Michigan State coach Tom Izzo probably isn’t going to like what he reads.

Machir made a worthwhile point when he shared Sherman’s stance on the NCAA:

"

Sherman is attempting to point out how flawed the NCAA is, and while the NCAAs flaws are well known, a possibly drunken rant about things that happened almost half a decade ago isnt exactly the best way to go about proving a point.

That being said, it sure was entertaining.

"

Sherman plays overseas for the BC Dinamo Tbilisi in Georgia and no longer has to worry about the NCAA’s wrath (as he so aptly points out during his rant).

Still, this isn’t the best look for Sherman, as his social media rant did appear to be liquid-induced.

As Machir said, there are probably better ways to make a point, but at least Sherman guaranteed his message will reach a number of people.
