WWE Elimination Chamber 2015: Updated Predictions for Each Match at Event

Donald WoodMay 28, 2015

After a lackluster edition of the Payback pay-per-view earlier this month, the WWE Universe is excited about Elimination Chamber 2015 and ready for an entertaining show.

From Seth Rollins defending his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Dean Ambrose to Kevin Owens going to battle with John Cena, this impromptu PPV has the potential to be exhilarating.

Here are the updated predictions for each match on the 2015 Elimination Chamber card.

Nikki Bella Defeats Paige and Naomi

1 of 6

As much as both Paige and Naomi deserve to be Divas champion more than Nikki Bella—both are superior in the ring and on the mic—the current champion has been booked to look strong, and there have been no indications that it’s time for her to lose.

All three competitors proved they can work together in the ring, which should result in an entertaining match if it's given sufficient time, though it’s uncertain if WWE will give the Divas a chance at Elimination Chamber.

With Nikki Bella just over 100 days away from overtaking AJ Lee's record-setting Divas Championship reign, it wouldn’t surprise the WWE Universe to see the current champion successfully defend the title again.

Neville Defeats Bo Dallas

2 of 6

For those who have been fans of NXT over the years, the battle between Neville and Bo Dallas is one they will have seen before. On the other hand, casual fans will get a chance to experience a fun and unique in-ring bout for the first time.

While fighting Dallas feels as though it's a step down for Neville, this is clearly a match he should win. Their previous experiences of working together should result in a solid midcard bout at Elimination Chamber.

As fun as Dallas is to watch while he is portraying the oblivious heel, Neville has been incredibly over with the fans since making the jump to the main roster, and the New Sensation should earn the victory on Sunday night.

Sheamus Defeats Ryback, R-Truth, King Barrett, Rusev and Dolph Ziggler

3 of 6

Daniel Bryan relinquished the WWE Intercontinental Championship after suffering another injury, meaning the WWE will be crowning a new champion following a six-man Elimination Chamber bout featuring Sheamus, Ryback, R-Truth, King Barrett, Rusev and Dolph Ziggler.

Picking a winner in these Elimination Chamber matches is all about weeding out possibilities that are too far-fetched first. As a result, King Barrett and R-Truth will not win because both have been treated like jobbers of late.

Ryback has been booked well, but his rib injury could be used as the reason he will be pinned. Ziggler and Rusev have a storyline brewing, so the natural finish would be Ziggler stealing a pin over Rusev before Sheamus picks up the overall victory.

A heel Sheamus with the IC title would make for an interesting run with the belt.

The Lucha Dragons Win Tag Team Championship Elimination Chamber

4 of 6

The hope is that the focus on the New Day and the first tag team Elimination Chamber match means there is a revitalized long-term goal for the division. With building depth in mind, it should be the Lucha Dragons who walk out victorious.

Lucha Dragons pulling off the victory would give them a built-in feud against the New Day, which could be a marquee title storyline. As for a secondary narrative, the popular duo of Tyson Kidd and Cesaro could go head-to-head with Luke Harper and Erick Rowan.

With two leading storylines possibly coming out of Elimination Chamber, a well-executed match and proper follow-up storytelling would be the shot in the arm the tag team division needs.

John Cena Defeats Kevin Owens

5 of 6

After watching Kevin Owens get the upper hand against John Cena in the weeks leading up to Elimination Chamber, it’s hard to imagine the WWE not booking the 15-time world champion to take the victory in Sunday’s match.

Cena is coming off an extended feud with Rusev and has brought validity back to the United States Championship, so taking a loss to Owens wouldn’t be ideal. The perfect ending, though, is having Owens get disqualified for going overboard in a beatdown of Cena.

While some fans have mentioned that Samoa Joe could come out to make the save when Owens is going to destroy Cena, the more likely outcome is Owens doing damage until Cena eventually makes his customary comeback and hits him with the Attitude Adjustment.

Regardless of how it happens, Super Cena will get the win.

Seth Rollins Defeats Dean Ambrose

6 of 6

The WWE Universe has one hope from the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match between Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose: We get enough time to enjoy the one-on-one battle before The Authority ruins the main event.

Rollins and Ambrose have had great matches in the past and know enough about each other in the ring to put on another exemplary performance. Unfortunately, interference has been an all-too-regular occurrence in matchups involving Rollins, and Elimination Chamber will be no different in that regard.

With the assist from Kane and J&J Security, Rollins will earn the win by hitting Ambrose with the Pedigree to successfully defend the title. A loss will hurt Ambrose in the short term, but he is getting over in Daniel Bryan’s absence, and officials should be taking notice.

As great as Ambrose has been in recent weeks, bet it all on Rollins retaining the title.
