WWE NXT Takeover: Full Preview, Match Card and More for Unstoppable

The Doctor Chris MuellerMay 20, 2015

Welcome to Bleacher Report's preview for NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable. This is where we take a spoiler-free look at what's in store for the upcoming live special.

Like every TakeOver special before, Unstoppable has a stacked lineup filled with matches that should make for an outstanding show.

Let's take a look at the card as it currently stands.

TOP NEWS

WRESTLING: OCT 02 AEW Dynamite/Rampage Pittsburgh
Monday Night RAW

Baron Corbin vs. Rhino

Baron Corbin has been tearing his way through the NXT roster for the past few months, winning matches in less time than it takes to make minute rice.

However, he is going to face his biggest challenge to date when he battles Rhino at Unstoppable. Rhino has been making sporadic appearances in the developmental system for a few months, and it looks like he has his sights set on putting an end to Corbin's winning streak.

Of all the matches scheduled to take place, this has the potential to be the most physical, and also the longest in Corbin's career.

Rhino is a legit tough guy who won't be put down with a couple of powerful moves. This is a man who has gone to war with the best ECW and WWE had to offer in the past, and he is not going to make it easy for Corbin to continue his winning ways.

Bayley and Charlotte vs. Dana Brooke and Emma

The first of two matches featuring the women of NXT will see occasional allies Bayley and Charlotte team up to take on newcomer Dana Brooke and the Diva with a new attitude, Emma.

Emma has shown signs of becoming much more aggressive in recent weeks, and most of her pent-up rage has been directed at Bayley.

Brooke, on the other hand, is still finding her footing in NXT, and going up against two of the most popular and talented women in the division is a great way to gain some visibility.

We have yet to see the full extent of Brooke's skills, but Emma, Bayley and Charlotte's abilities are well-documented. If this match is even half as good as we know it can be, it will be a lot of fun.

Finn Balor vs. Tyler Breeze

Hideo Itami was set to compete against Finn Balor and Tyler Breeze to see who would become the next No. 1 contender for the NXT Championship, but Triple H revealed during his recent NXT conference call that Itami's injury will keep him from competing.

Unless WWE officials add another person to the bout at the last minute, we will see Balor and Breeze fight one-on-one for the right to challenge the NXT champion.

These two are the epitome of what makes NXT so special. They both have entertaining personalities and more skill than they know what to do with.

Their styles are similar in a lot of ways. Both men utilize strikes and high-flying moves with great success. All things considered, this should be one of the most exciting contests of the evening.

Sasha Banks vs. Becky Lynch (NXT Women's Championship)

Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch were once friends, but that is no longer the case. Now Lynch is ready to be the top dog in the division, and the only way to do that is to beat Banks for the Women's Championship.

Banks has been one of the most consistently entertaining performers in NXT for a long time, and that's not just among the women.

Her big personality has helped her gain a great following despite her heel persona, but don't expect her to just walk over Lynch.

The former Rebecca Knox is a veteran with over a decade of experience and enough wrestling ability to stand in the ring with the best women in the business. When she faces Banks Wednesday at Unstoppable, it's going to be one hell of a match.

Wesley Blake and Buddy Murphy vs. Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady (NXT Tag Team Championship)

Wesley Blake and Buddy Murphy were little more than enhancement talents a few months ago, but they were able to string together enough wins to earn themselves a title shot and win the belts from Kalisto and Sin Cara.

Now that they have the titles, they have to work their butts off to keep them, and that won't be easy with teams like Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady breathing down their necks.

Amore and Cassady had a few months of sitting on the sidelines while other teams were taking up the spotlight, so this is their big chance to show everyone why they deserve to be at the forefront of the division.

Luckily for them, Blake and Murphy have proven themselves to be competent workers who can help them put on a great tag team match.

Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn (NXT Championship)

If you only need one reason to buy the WWE Network, this match is it. Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens will finally meet in a rematch for the NXT Championship.

Owens defeated Zayn at TakeOver: Rival after the referee was forced to stop the match following several powerbombs. It was a decisive victory the likes of which hadn't been seen since Brock Lesnar destroyed John Cena and won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Money in the Bank 2014.

When these two collide Wednesday, it's going to be epic. They are both at the top of their game, but it's their history that helps sell the story.

They travelled the world together while competing for just about every promotion not owned by Vince McMahon. If you know their careers, then you know just how personal this feud is for them.

Based on these six matches, TakeOver: Unstoppable has the potential to be the best event in NXT history, and if you have seen the previous live specials, you know that is saying a lot.
