Roman Reigns vs. Triple H Is an Inevitable Matchup
Roman Reigns is on Seth Rollins' trail. The former Shield teammates have been warring since 2014, when Rollins betrayed his brothers and destroyed the faction. Now, Reigns has a great opportunity to not only get revenge on Rollins and embarrass The Authority but also take the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
But Rollins will not be the only Authority member Reigns will face; Triple H is an inevitable opponent for him.
From a storyline perspective, it's only a matter of time until The Game and Reigns cross paths. Reigns has become a thorn in The Authority's side, and that is not a good thing for the boss, who demands complete control of every situation.

However, Reigns is historically not a Superstar who is easily controlled.
The Shield may have cooperated with Triple H's regime when it first came to power back in 2013, but that alliance did not last long. The Game's unjust corporate agenda directly contradicted The Shield's quest for justice, and only Rollins made the switch later.
He sold out both Reigns and Dean Ambrose, leaving his former Shield teammates to continue the fight for what's right.
Reigns has done just that, battling The Authority every step of the way. He's faced both Kane and Big Show in punishing matches that have been nothing short of slugfests. Show has not been seen on WWE programming since Reigns beat him at Extreme Rules, and the same could happen with Kane if another rivalry begins.
That leaves Rollins, who has never truly answered for what he did to The Shield. The supposed face of WWE must answer for his crimes, and Reigns is perhaps the best man to pass judgment.
But whether he will beat Rollins in the main event at Payback is unknown. Ambrose and Randy Orton are also in the mix, decreasing Reigns' chances of going over. Brock Lesnar is still waiting in the wings, of course, and WWE may choose to keep the belt on Rollins to set up the rematch from WrestleMania 31.
That means Reigns will once again walk away without the title. But that does not mean he walks into a dead end. There is life beyond pursuing Rollins, and that life involves feuding with Triple H.
At some point, Hunter will take exception because Reigns continues to make life difficult for The Authority. Reigns is their biggest threat, the one who can do the most damage. Orton is focused on Rollins right now, apparently past his need to take down The Authority. Ambrose is dangerous but can be kept in his place for now.
Reigns, however, will not stop until he reaches the top tier of the company. If he's prevented from beating Rollins at Payback, especially by The Authority, then he may decide to take his fight to the top.
It may soon be time for Reigns to play The Game.

The Authority has been going strong for nearly two years. It has ruled WWE with an iron fist and made life miserable for one Superstar after another. The list reads like a who's who of the industry.
It sidetracked John Cena, rendering him irrelevant in terms of challenging its rule. It mocked and mauled Daniel Bryan and now will surely laugh at his latest injury. It has fired Superstars such as The Rhodes Brothers along the way, and not even the legendary Sting was able to slow The Authority down.
But Reigns is determined. He's on the way up and is considered by many to be a man who will inhabit WWE's main event scene for years to come. He's not a part-time Superstar, he's not a veteran fighting a losing battle, and he's not likely to join The Authority anytime soon.
He can't be bought off, he can't be stalled, and he won't be stopped. Reigns may very well be the catalyst for The Authority's demise, and Triple H cannot let that happen.
That means Triple H vs. Reigns will eventually take place. Neither Big Show nor Kane was able to slow him down. Rollins will only get away if he's protected, and that leaves Hunter as The Authority's last line of defense.
SummerSlam could see Reigns stepping up to face one of WWE's most legendary performers of all time, and if he does, it will surely be an epic match. Hunter is still able to make a guy look good, and with the company's promotional machine behind it, this match would likely be the biggest of Reigns' career, second only to his WrestleMania main event.
It's the next logical step for Reigns' career, one that will keep him near the top and perhaps even higher. Facing Triple H may or may not be the end of The Authority, but it will surely be a great way for Reigns' road to WrestleMania to begin again.
