Daily Fantasy Baseball 2015: Best MLB DFS DraftKings Lineup for May 6
Looking for an ace on the mound for Wednesday night's games? Of course you are. Look no further than the Baltimore Orioles' Ubaldo Jimenez to be the anchor to your two-man DraftKings pitching staff. Jimenez will face the surprising New York Mets at Citi Field. Barring an uncharacteristically bad outing or injury, he should be good for a healthy amount of fantasy points.
In four starts this season, Jimenez has been fairly dominant. He's 2-1 with a 1.59 ERA, an 0.79 WHIP and 22 strikeouts in 22.2 innings. In addition to his season-long success, Jimenez has also done quite well against the members of the 2015 Mets that he's faced in his career.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
Six current Mets have faced Jimenez and in 40 at-bats, they are hitting a collective .150 against the 31-year-old Dominican. To add yet another layer to the case, Jimenez has an ERA under 1.85 when three of the four umpires working the series are behind the plate.
Brian O'Nora will likely be the home plate umpire after working first base on Tuesday. Jimenez has an 0.86 ERA when O'Nora is the man calling balls and strikes. Even if there is some unexpected change and O'Nora isn't behind the plate, Jimenez has a 1.84 and 1.29 ERA with Jeff Kellog and Alan Porter calling the game, respectively. He's never pitched in a game with Mark Ripperger as the home plate umpire.
Nothing is automatic in baseball, but you'll be hard-pressed to find another pitcher better set up for success in a start. Spend the $7,300 in DK salary; it'll pay off. Check out the other players joining Jimenez in my ideal lineup for Wednesday night's games.

Carlos Carrasco ($8,300) at Kansas City Royals

The other pitching slot is filled by the Cleveland Indians' K-collecting Carlos Carrasco. He's been struggling a little this season with an ERA of 4.98, but he has 29 strikeouts in 21.2 innings pitched this season.
He's the type of pitcher who can still produce for your fantasy lineup in defeat.
There's reason to believe Carrasco will pitch well on Wednesday. The current Kansas City Royals who have faced Carrasco are only hitting .187 against him. On a night where the pitching prospects look flimsy, Carrasco looks to be the second best option behind Jimenez.
Adrian Beltre ($4,400) at Houston Astros

You have to have some hitters, and the Texas Rangers' Adrian Beltre should be one of the best of the day. Beltre comes in hitting .500 in 10 at-bats against Houston Astros starter Samuel Deduno.
Beltre has taken Deduno deep twice, and four of his five hits have been extra-base knocks. The 36-year-old 17-year-veteran is struggling thus far this season, but this might be the matchup he needs to get on track.
Jose Altuve ($5,300) vs. Texas Rangers

In the same game, but on the other side of the field, the Astros' Jose Altuve continues to be the little man doing big things. The diminutive Altuve is hitting .348 on the season with 10 stolen bases.
His high average and speed on the basepaths make him a dual threat and great fantasy option on most nights. He's an even more attractive pick on Wednesday because he's facing Rangers starter Colby Lewis.
Altuve is hitting .357 in 14 at-bats against Lewis in his career. If that trend continues, you have to believe Altuve will be able to sneak a steal or two in as well.
Jason Heyward ($3,900) vs. Chicago Cubs

Usually, we won't tab a left-handed hitter in a lineup against a quality southpaw pitcher, but there's always an exception. On Wednesday night at Busch Stadium, we'll have an example.
The St. Louis Cardinals' Jason Heyward has absolutely owned Jon Lester in his career. Heyward is hitting a whopping .583 against Lester with five extra-base hits, including a homer. The Chicago Cubs ace is coming off his best start of the year in his last outing against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Lester didn't allow a run through seven innings. However, Heyward wasn't in that lineup. The Cardinals outfielder is only hitting .224 this season, but he has torched the North Siders with a .411 batting average.
It's probably a good idea to draft Heyward considering neither the pitcher nor the team has figured out a way to get him out consistently.
