Betting Tips and Predictions
Pacquiao to Win By Decision
The fight is expected to go the distance at 1-3, so barring a shock early knockout, a bet on either fighter to win in a particular round would be a long shot indeed.
Pacquiao has not won a match by knockout since 2009, while Mayweather has failed to win a bout before the end of the 12th round since 2011.
All in all, this makes a win by decision the most likely outcome for the fight, as ESPN's Arash Markazi notes:
At 10-13, Mayweather is the comfortable favourite to win by decision, and with good reason, per Chris Roling of Bleacher Report.

In Mayweather's first fight with Marcos Maidana, Money was put on the defensive throughout. The Argentine threw 856 punches at the American but landed just 26 percent of them, while Money landed 54 percent of his 256 punches, per BoxRec.
Mayweather's seemingly impenetrable defence and unerring accuracy make him a likely contender for a win by decision.

However, according to ProBoxing-Fans.com, in the clash with Maidana the 38-year-old was still hit a record 221 times. In fact, in his last five fights, there is a pattern emerging of Mayweather's opponents landing a greater percentage of hits.
From facing Robert Guerrero in 2013 to the rematch with Maidana, the percentages of total punches landed by his opponents is 19, 21, 22, 26 and 22.
According to Odds Shark (via SBNation.com), Mayweather is a notoriously slow starter. With Pac-Man's endurance, an upset via a decision could definitely be on the cards if he can claim the early rounds.
At 15-4, Pacquiao to win by decision could see a healthy return on a stake.
Pacquiao to Land a Higher Percentage of Punches
With Mayweather once again the favourite in this category at -230, instinct might sway a prospective bettor to favour him to land a higher percentage of punches.
The 38-year-old has a five-inch reach advantage over his opponent, and he is known for his incredibly accurate punching. Indeed, according to CompuBoxOnline.com, Mayweather is the most accurate puncher in boxing.

Meanwhile, Pacquiao isn't famed for his defensive skills, which could indicate that Mayweather will be able to land a higher number of blows than Pac-Man.
However, as mentioned earlier, Mayweather is not as impervious as he used to be. ESPN Stats & Info have determined some key indicators that Pacquiao could land more punches:
In recent matches, Pacquiao is not only throwing far more punches than the American, but he's also being hit far less.
With Pacquiao's phenomenal speed (demonstrated in the video below), the Filipino is well-suited to exploit Mayweather's ailing defence.
Of course, Mayweather remains incredibly accurate and is still one of the best in the business at blocking and avoiding punches, but prospective bettors could enjoy a return on a calculated risk here.
