NFL Rumors: Latest Buzz on Potential 2015 Draft-Day Picks and Trades
The 2015 NFL draft is the epicenter of rumors right now.
As the rumor mill churns, the toughest task is to discern which rumors have merit and which are smoke screens used by coaches and front offices to further their position in the draft.
With Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly and the draft-trade happy St. Louis Rams running around, anything is possible between now and Mr. Irrelevant.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
With the state of affairs in mind, let's take a moment to break down some of the juicer rumblings making the rounds, which pertain both to potential draft-day picks and blockbuster trades.
Jaguars to Throw Curveball at No. 3?
When one thinks about the Jacksonville Jaguars, they think about a team in need of a defensive enforcer such as USC's Leonard Williams or an edge-rusher such as Florida's Dante Fowler Jr.
On some other level, though, they also think of a team that seems to love draft-day surprises one year removed from shocking the globe by taking quarterback Blake Bortles in the top five.
The Jaguars may have a similar surprise up their sleeves this year, and it may concern getting Bortles a high-profile weapon such as Alabama wideout Amari Cooper.
Yahoo Sports' Charles Robinson shares what an AFC source hears:
"I think the third spot could shock people [again]," the personnel man said, referring to Jacksonville. "I think they like [Amari] Cooper more than they are letting on. You hear things and they have been pretty good about what's getting out there. It's a lot like it was last year."
Is it a huge shock?
Maybe not. Cooper was one of three Heisman Trophy finalists last year and his numbers are video game-esque:
| 2014 | 124 | 1727 | 13.9 | 16 |
| 2013 | 45 | 736 | 16.4 | 4 |
| 2012 | 59 | 1000 | 16.9 | 11 |
Cooper is one of the safest picks in the class at any position and would open things up in a big way for Jacksonville's offense.
Of course, this could just be smoke in a deep wideout class. But does anyone want to put anything past the Jaguars at this point?
Muhammad Wilkerson a Draft-Day Trade Candidate?

Much of the draft-day trade chatter centers on Philip Rivers and Adrian Peterson, but one elite defender has entered the fray as well—New York Jets defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson.
Wilkerson, who is absent from offseason workouts and just 25 years old, seems to be the crown jewel of many an eye, per ESPN.com's Adam Schefter:
"At least two teams, and possibly more, have approached the Jets about trading for Wilkerson, a league source told ESPN.
More calls from teams are expected as the NFL draft gets underway Thursday night, according to the source.
"
Interest in Wilkerson makes sense. He's young and already one of the league's best players, ranking as the No. 3 3-4 defensive end in the league last season at Pro Football Focus with seven sacks, 10 quarterback hits and 18 hurries.
It's hard to imagine new Jets coach Todd Bowles, one of the league's best defensive minds, would want to ship away one of his best players.
Then again, every team and person has a price, and the Jets are in the thick of a slight rebuild. If a team comes calling with a gigantic offer, Bowles and the front office may not have a choice but to consider.
Miami's Todd Gurley Dreams
Georgia running back Todd Gurley is either the king of hype or king of smoke screens thanks to a medical recheck that ruled in his favor.
Gurley is one of the best backs to enter the draft in two years or more, and he can play in an every-down role thanks to his consistent ability to move the chains and his soft hands to catch passes.
Just how high Gurley will come off the board with teams now believing in his health is tough to figure out, but there may be an established ceiling—the Miami Dolphins.
TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline hears the Dolphins hope Gurley falls: "One team that hopes Todd Gurley does not end up in the draft’s initial ten picks are the Miami Dolphins, who will quickly swipe up the ball carrier if he’s still available when they are called to the clock in round one."
Miami makes a lot of sense with just Lamar Miller to speak of in the backfield, and it's a notion Bill Polian agrees with, per ESPN.com's James Walker:
The Dolphins seem like an obvious floor for Gurley now barring a major shocker.
Backs with Gurley's ability don't come around often, so while the position is devalued, the league understands what a back such as Marshawn Lynch can do for an offense.
It just so happens Gurley's best comparison is Lynch. The Dolphins seem to be out hunting for their own version of Beast Mode.
