WWE WrestleMania 31: Final Predictions for All Matches

The Doctor Chris MuellerMar 29, 2015

After months of buildup, WrestleMania 31 has arrived, and that means it's time to take one last look at the matches and try to predict some winners.

WWE has stacked the card with big showdowns and gimmick bouts that should produce some exciting moments and maybe even a few surprises.

With the two-hour Kickoff Show on the WWE Network, we are in for six straight hours of wrestling. There might be some singing thrown in, too.

Arguably the biggest story of the night will be Sting wrestling his first match in a WWE ring against Triple H. Fans have been waiting more than a decade since WCW's doors closed to see Sting come to the other side, and Sunday, they finally get their wish.

Let's go through the card and see if we can pick some victors.

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

1 of 9

The second annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal will take place during the two-hour WrestleMania Kickoff Show, and this match could be a turning point for the winner.

It could revitalize someone's career or give a push to a newer Superstar. Let's not forget that Hideo Itami from NXT is set to participate, so it could be his first step toward the main roster.

Twenty Superstars will attempt to be the last man standing. The participants are a mix of veterans, rookies and guys who are somewhere in between, and that makes this match hard to predict.

When you look at who is involved, the person who seems like he would benefit most is Damien Mizdow. He has been on course for a breakup with The Miz for several weeks, and their partnership could finally implode on Sunday.

Winning this match would give Mizdow the boost he needs to go off on his own and start to re-establish himself as a singles star.

Prediction: Damien Mizdow

Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Championship Match

2 of 9

Tyson Kidd and Cesaro will defend their tag titles against The Usos, Los Matadores and The New Day. Normally, eight men would be enough to ensure some mayhem, but with four other people at ringside to accompany their teams, it is almost a guarantee that things will break down into a huge brawl.

This is one of the rare situations where the champions do not have the advantage. They don't even have to be involved in the decision to lose the titles.

Any one of these teams could reasonably win the belts on Sunday. Los Matadores technically held the titles while they were Epico and Primo, which means The New Day is the only team who has yet to win gold.

This is another one that could go in several different directions, but the smart move would be to have the champions retain. Cesaro and Kidd have turned into a great tag team, and they deserve a longer run with the titles after being kept down for so long.

Prediction: Tyson Kidd and Cesaro

The Bella Twins vs. AJ and Paige

3 of 9

The only Divas match scheduled to take place is a tag team bout with AJ and Paige taking on the Bella Twins. Some may criticize the choice not to have a Divas title match on the card, but these four women could end up providing one of the highlights of the night.

The four of them have produced some great matches, and things have really picked up steam ever since the #GiveDivasAChance movement got started.

AJ and Paige have gotten into a few arguments and a fistfight already, so we know they are not on the same page. This gives Nikki and Brie the advantage.

However, AJ and Paige seem like the better choice to win. They are the two most popular babyfaces in the division, and since they can't walk out with the championship, they may as well leave with a win.

Prediction: AJ and Paige

Rusev vs. John Cena

4 of 9

The only rematch on the card from FastLane is the United States Championship match between Rusev and John Cena.

Rusev is still undefeated by pin or submission, and if there was any time to have his streak broken to have it make the biggest impact, it's at WrestleMania.

Cena hasn't held the U.S. title in more than 10 years. He has almost exclusively been in the main event scene since his first WWE Championship win. It's time to use his star power to bring the midcard titles back to prominence.

Whether you like him or hate him, Cena would instantly make the U.S. title more important, especially if he held it for a long time and frequently defended it.

Rusev would certainly benefit from a second straight win over Cena, but with the way things have been going recently, Cena seems like the safer bet.

Prediction: John Cena

Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match

5 of 9

The feud for the Intercontinental Championship has been interesting, to say the least. Seven different Superstars are pursuing Bad News Barrett's belt, and it seems like he might finally lose it for real.

The two big possibilities are Daniel Bryan and Dolph Ziggler. If WWE wants to make the IC title important again, it has to use someone with a lot of support from the fans.

Ziggler and Bryan are possibly the two most over babyfaces in the company. They both produce some of the best matches on a regular basis, and when they wrestle each other, nobody else stands a chance of being as good.

Ziggler spent a good portion of 2014 with the title, and he was a great champion, but it's time for someone else to bring a little spotlight to the belt.

Bryan could bring legitimacy back to the title with a long reign and great matches. He is the best choice.

Prediction: Daniel Bryan

Seth Rollins vs. Randy Orton

6 of 9

Seth Rollins and Randy Orton have been on a collision course since Rollins Curb-Stomped Orton into a set of steel steps and put him on the shelf for several months.

Orton has already taken out some aggression on Rollins, but now he gets to actually face him in a singles match where Rollins can't hide behind a partner.

These are two of the more gifted wrestlers on the roster, and it's possible they could produce the best match of the night.

When it comes to the winner, it seems kind of obvious that Orton will get the victory. Rollins can always get a rematch at Extreme Rules, but Orton needs this win to get retribution for what The Authority did to him.

Prediction: Randy Orton

The Undertaker vs. Bray Wyatt

7 of 9

Bray Wyatt has done a fantastic job of carrying his feud with The Undertaker all by himself. Without one appearance from his opponent, Wyatt has made this into one of the more anticipated matches of the night.

The Undertaker is no longer fighting to keep his streak alive, so losing to Wyatt is a much more realistic option than it would have been two years ago.

However, it doesn't seem right for him to lose two years in a row after going more than two decades without a loss at WrestleMania. The Undertaker needs this win.

Wyatt can always bounce back, but time is winding down for The Deadman. He will take a lot of punishment, but The Undertaker is going to put Wyatt down at WrestleMania.

Prediction: The Undertaker

Sting vs. Triple H

8 of 9

The night every Sting fan has been waiting for is finally here. For the first time, Steve Borden will take on a WWE Superstar in a WWE ring.

Triple H is the perfect opponent for Sting because they both played big parts in making the Monday Night Wars an exciting time to be a wrestling fan.

The Undertaker is the dream opponent, but Triple H makes more sense. He will be able to put Sting over in a big way, and that is why the man who never gave up on WCW is going to win.

Unless he is going to return for more matches, there is no way WWE is going to build Sting up this much just to have him lose. It would be bad for business.

Prediction: Sting

Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar

9 of 9

The main event of the evening could be controversial. It all depends on the finish. Since Lesnar recently signed a new deal with WWE, it's now a possibility he could walk out with his title intact.

There is a real possibility that the crowd could be in favor of Lesnar during this match, and if WWE anticipates that, it could decide it's best to keep the belt on him.

The one thing that makes this unlikely is that WWE probably wants the title back on television every week. It's been months since we saw the champion compete on Raw or SmackDown due to Lesnar only fighting on pay-per-views. It's time to bring the title home.

Roman Reigns might not be the favorite choice of many fans, but there are worse people WWE could have chosen to take the belt from The Beast.

Prediction: Roman Reigns
